That's one thing that unfortunately still stays, but the overall response of Market is much faster now, and quitting it doesnt take 2 seconds, but is instant, just like it is with any other app. (SGS2 Stock)

loads up at least 2 times as fast really, scrolling isn't choppy for me, though I have HW acceleration enabled

I'm on a LG Optimus V rooted with CM7, and it seems lately that programs are crashing way more often then normal. Youtube FCs when I touch a user name to view their uploaded videos, etc.

You can find that on quickoffice pro. The reader alone does what you've specified. I'm pretty sure ezPDF can do that too.
