Honestly the Galaxy Nexus doesn't seem like that great a piece of hardware. The SGS2 is still beating it in benchmarks.

Durp. Turn down screen brightness and disable all unused radio services like GPS, WiFi, Data, Bluetooth. If you've rooted your phone, reduce the minimum clock rate and play with CPU profiles

Also it seems that the Android 4.0 battery indicator is incorrect... Phone was unplugged since 11pm yesterday, it is now 5:30pm today and it's only reporting "4 hours on battery."
Juice Defender is always nice to have and the Ultimate version gives you a crap load of customization which can get really handy.
It's defiantly worth it if you find the Wi-Fi and app syncs to be hogging at your battery pretty hard.
I like how juicedefender can automatically disable wifi, mobile Internet, screen brightness, sounds, tons of stuff.
People say that the benchmarks are not fair, but my take on it is that the SGS2 is already easily outperforming the Nexus and that it will do so even more with the optimalisations of ICS.
Also, what do you think of this concept I have for the frontpage of the Facepunch for Android app? (The login comes before that and looks like this.)
I like the look of it but it would be nice if we could have a few sections pinned or something for quicker access

It doesn't use the Facepunch API, you can find the details here.
I think the nexus phones are primarily designed for devs/people who want to be on the bleeding edge of software because the hardware has generally been slightly less than best in class. They also lack additions like best in class cameras and microSD slots (which is shameful really considering the galaxy nexus only has 16GB NAND) in favour of more esoteric technologies like the 720p screen and NFC. I've said it many times and I've said it again, the nexus is a phone made for developers and for people who want to show off. Even people who like HD movies aren't really catered for considering the only real option is to stream them, as you're not gonna be storing many 720p films (typically around 4GB) on that paltry 16GB. Seriously, the only reason the lack of removable storage is acceptable on iDevices is the availability of 32 and 64GB models.
Software is gorgeous though and I'm confident stock ICS will remain better looking than the manufacturer ROMs for the foreseeable future, though I just can't justify buying a phone on the basis of something that the modding community will most likely make a flashable version of for most popular phones anyway.

Finally a android facepunch app.
I have been wanting one of these since I got my Archos 43, which i have not used in forever.
On a side note, Game Dev Story is suprisingly addicting
I kind of agree that it's a dev device. It's one of the few that have 720p screens.

I am ashamed to admit I played it for 4 hours straight when I first got it, haha.
I know but the point of using swype is to swype across your keyboard. Not to tap away. Either way, still sticking with swiftkey x. Because I like tapping.
Just Swype in the portrait mode, it's a lot easier and you can still see things other than the keyboard.
Swype takes up more than half the screen and I can't see what I type because the keyboard is in the way.

I thought people stopped looking at numbers. Just because it has lower numbers doesn't mean its terrible. We need a ICS based benchmark to take full advantage of the GN.
And swype takes up way more space than swiftkey x. I even found SlideIt Keyboard better.
I don't like Swype I just use the stock Gingerbread keyboard.

Have you tried swiftkey x?

Android definitely needs to have notifications when programs cause excessive partial wakelock. If wakelock exceeds 6% over the screen on time, the user should be alerted and the process that is ultimately the culprit should be displayed.

I dunno. I've been more than perfectly satisfied with my 16 GB microSD. So I suppose I could do with only 16 GB. I don't store HD (or even 480p) movies on it granted, but I don't use my phone for movies very often anyway. And once I get a phone capable of running Google Music, the music limitation will be much less prohibitive.
The app limitation is hardly an issue, considering I'm used to having only 150 MB of space anyway.
the free version is
I will try it out then

You should make a thread for that, I'd think.
Still don't really understand the hate for the Xperia Play. Other than the light sensor, and maybe some less than impressive specs compared to the ~high-end phones~, it seems like a reasonable phone.
Maybe I'm just not picky when it comes to phones as much as the rest of facepunch.

That looks like it would work quite well.

high end phones/specs = faster gameplay, loading, frame rate, etc.
