If those are the only others in the price range, go for it. The screen's IPS, like Apple's retina and it's dual core with a nvidia gpu, so every app will run fine on it. [editline]18th December 2011[/editline] But make sure there's nothing else in the price range.
I doubt there is. The Sensation is over $450 and the SII is about $560, and those were the only two other phones I really considered in the high-end Android market. Plus, the 2x is basically a SII with some small cutbacks (bluetooth, ram) and it's also way cheaper so I guess that's what I'm going for. Now let's see the last one get bought and the price rise up to $500 while I'm trying to pay for this crap.
In that case, have fun and post what it's like, I'm planning on getting one. [editline]18th December 2011[/editline] (Depending on how much dosh I have after crimbo)

It's not the best I know, but with more conventional graphics coming to android games, it's not like nvidia doesn't know their shit. And it does look to be the best in price range.
Hey Ignhelper, can I know where you found this wallpaper?
http://www.myconfinedspace.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/pacman-wallpaper-700x437.jpg

Fuck yes, GTA 3 is back on the market for S2 again!
I am now the proud owner of a Galaxy S2! - are there any apps I should get?

Anybody know what the Hotplug governor's characteristics are? I've just installed Android Revolution HD on my Nexus, and that's one of the governors it has. Never seen that type before.
Now watch as gary points him to XDA-Developers and tells him all about ~gawdmode~ and flashing & overclocking, because that's the only 3 things he knows about :v:
Well, I was gonna buy a SK17, but the I found a Arc for $265 but eBay didn't want to take my money. Then I went to search on Amazon and both of these were around $300-$350, so I figured I might aswell pay $50 more for a infinitely better device. $350 is the absolute top of my budget on Amazon, though.
If you could get a phone with an OMAP 4 or ST-Ericsson SoC, jump at it.
I thought Sony Ericsson used snapdragons?
nobody said they didn't
I thought Sony Ericsson used snapdragons?
It's not Sony Ericsson, it's ST-Ericsson. ST-Ericsson has very low market penetration right now though.

oh my god stop going on about the sk17a for fuck sake it isn't even remotely funny anymore

Okay, I can't tell anymore. Is it just a joke or are people seriously pushing that it's a good phone? The whole Mini Pro thing lost its comedy value quite a few pages ago.
oh my god stop going on about the sk17a for fuck sake it isn't even remotely funny anymore
I can see that.
