are you telling me they got RIL working?!
RIL was still acting really strange from what I know [editline]nope[/editline] scratch that, they have a new RIL and it's working
I liked the original cover so much more. That one with an engraved Google logo ALL over it would be sweet.
RIL was still acting really strange from what I know
And that's why we can't have nice things. Literally. Sure, the guys can work on adding features or fixing other bugs, but I wish Samsung would just fucking help getting the audio to work instead.

Now I'm confused. one guy says it works but then the other says it doesn't? nevermind you added an additional link. YES
Wait. Now I'm confused. one guy says it works but then the other says it doesn't?
I had my facts wrong, they're doing fine It's the same guy, first tweet was older
No, the camera is terrible compared to the SGS2, iP4S or (especially) recent Nokias. Its only advantage is the zero-shutter lag.
I'm comparing the Nexus camera to the Razr; SGS2 isn't on Verizon so I'm not getting it. I have a real camera for taking good photos, but I know I'll still use the camera phone for quick pictures, and I heard it's better than the Razr's camera.
So I just got my samsung galaxy tab 10.1 Not allowed to use it till christmas since my parents payed for a quarter of it :C. But yeah aleast I have it. Can't wait to use it.
A quarter of a tablet = no messing around with in until christmas? well it's like a week man.
A quarter of a tablet = no messing around with in until christmas? well it's like a week man.
Not sure if I should root it though. Not really wanting to break my 2 year warranty.
Not sure if I should root it though. Not really wanting to break my 2 year warranty.
in the event that you do fuck up something, you can un-root it or flash a stock ROM and reset the flash counter and make it seem like it hasn't been tampered with
The only way to reset the flash counter on the SGS II is to use an USB jig?
The only way to reset the flash counter on the SGS II is to use an USB jig?
on older bootloaders yes
Is there another method? And how do I know I have the "new" bootloader?
in the event that you do fuck up something, you can un-root it or flash a stock ROM and reset the flash counter and make it seem like it hasn't been tampered with
can't they still find out?
Man, Modern Combat 3 is uncontrollable. There's a gyro option, which only makes things worse, and the normal twin sticks thing is just bad :< Also, the plot is just pure fucking genius: "KPR Alliance – a terrorist group formed by the union of North Korean, Pakistani and Russian terrorist cells" which invades the USA. It's like turbo-Homefront!
can't they still find out?
afaik there is no other way for them to know other than a flash counter (which you can reset, as told) or custom ROMs and kernels (which you can revert to stock) basically, you can turn it back to before you even started flashing stuff, they won't know if you don't tell them on an unrelated note: did I ever tell you guys how much I love DSPManager? :v:
Wait, this phone different from the regular LG Optimus 2X? The other one (the one that rose up to $450) didn't have anything after the P990 on it, does this mean that this is a version for a specific country or something? On the comments there's one person complaining about how his 2G/3G wasn't working and how the manual was in Portuguese (god knows if brazilian portuguese or not), so I'm afraid that it wont work here.
Just put ICS on my Xoom, massive improvement over honeycomb, everything is so damn fast.

[editline]19th December 2011[/editline] Besides, he says it looks like it's intended for Brazil. If the worst comes to the worst, return it.
I know this sounds like a stupid question. But do I have to reroot every time i update?
Just a different seller. [editline]19th December 2011[/editline] Besides, he says it looks like it's intended for Brazil. If the worst comes to the worst, return it.
Yes, they use GSM (only) in Brazil. I can't return it since I have a cousin on the US that's gonna bring it back with him next month, and until it's here I can't really test if it works (he didn't bring a brazilian SIM). [editline]20th December 2011[/editline] Well, I've checked GSMArena and compared the GSM frequencies on my current phone and the 2X. They're both exactly the same, so unless the seller named the product wrong it should work here. Wish me luck I guess!

My dad just gave me this tablet he used to use that runs on android, is there any sort of android app that allows you to chat with steam friends? I'll probably be using this in between classes and I have a bunch of my friends using steam on their laptops.

For those of you who have your Nexuses (Nexi?) already, how is it? Mine still hasn't arrived yet. Is it as snappy all the time as it looks in the videos? How are the apps and games?

But the atrix is better for your money? Isn't it only $300?
Not sure if I should root it though. Not really wanting to break my 2 year warranty.
two year warrenty? I thought it was 1...
When I started the game: [release] KPR Alliance- a terrorist Group formed by North Korea, Pakistani.. -Thanks God they are not putting Russians as enemies again ..And Russia [/release]
Well, Russians aren't the bad guys, it's the ALLIANCE OF ALL THE TERRORISTS. Although the only terrorists in Russia that I know about are fighting for independance or something.
So, xmas is coming up and I need a new phone. I've been thinking about either getting a xperia play or a nexus s. I don't want to spend much, the xperia play is $100 cheaper and it has a gamepad, the rest is pretty much the same as the nexus s so I'm thinking of getting the xperia play. What do you think fp? Xperia Play: Keyboard Micro SD Cheaper Talk of support for ICS Nexus S: Official Google support ICS Slightly Bigger screen Gyroscope More space Battery lasts longer Agree for xperia play Disagree for nexus s
