I don't know too much about all of them, but ZTE Blade if you want extensive modding community, aka. loads of ROMs and kernels
How do I make it so that my Galaxy Note's headset volume buttons work as backward/forward buttons, like on all other phones?

I think the Xperia Arc has by far the best hardware of these.

Stock music player doesn't support that, at least on the SGS II, but I use PowerAMP which gives you that option.
Does anyone here use GiffGaff? I'm wondering if their £10 for unlimited text and data PAYG is legit.
also, another AOSP ICS ROM for the SGS2, this time with releasing alphas on the go (mic in calls still not working, although the guy claims to be close to getting it to work properly)

It is.

This is the best Christmas ever.

CM7 lets me do that on any music player(only tested on UberMusic but I'm sure it will work on CM's music player and any other player too)

giffgaff is legit and I think it uses O2's network. I'd go for giffgaff but I got my S2 with Virgin Mobile so I'm SOL, unless I give my SIM card to someone else and buy a giffgaff one

I'd give you an affiliate link with £5 free credit but shit happened and I'm gonna move to a new account next month. You can ask LuaDuck though

Symbian S60 had multitasking on Nokia phones which is at least 5 years old.
On the subject of UK speeds, I'm running Vodafone UK Nexus S (ICS) and on my standard 3G connection (no HSDPA) I'm getting 5.5mbps down and 2.2mbps up.
I need to go to other rooms to test HSDPA and that's a lot of effort.
Speaking of this, is there any way to get ICS to show the H symbol when connected to HSDPA? I know about Phone Status, but it's a bit of a pain to have to zip in there every time I want to check if I'm on HSDPA or UMTS.

More than happy to oblige: http://giffgaff.com/orders/affiliate/luaduck (should be obvious, but that's a referral link)
By the way, someone ordered a SIM a couple weeks ago but never activated it. If it was you and it got lost (you're not just procrastinating), could you get in touch so that I can ask them to send another one? Ta
I am gonna use o2 on my phone, pay and go, it has infinite internet with it, is this a bad choice? My mom really wants me to use o2, but I want to use giffgaff.

Use whichever is cheaper, which would be giffgaff.

Cool, I'll order one when my Note arrives, going to have to cancel this O2 rolling contract and all that.
Can I transfer my old number over?

Now I wil have to work out which one is the ref one.
Edit: NOW I JUST READ ABOVE
ok now im gonna use your ref, leach139

Activate all 3, £15 free credit.

You mean the Xperia Arc because it's a Sony Ericsson
I would consider the Arc over my Mini Pro :v:

If that were to be true, could this not be exploited for infinite credit? :v:

watch apple try to sue intel and get their supply of cpus/chipsets cut off or have the price spike dramatically.

If they're all registered to the same address/name, they may have a clause to stop that. Or if they're activated on the same IMEI (I think). I guess just read the T&Cs.

Yeah definitely, just ring o2 up and ask for your PAC code (say you're going to giffgaff and they'll let you off easier as they own them) and submit a port-in request on giffgaff. Can take a couple days to do and you'll get some cell downtime on the day of your choosing.
Also when you get your SIM it'll explain what to do, but basically you just go to the giffgaff website, type the SIM code in, make your first purchase, and you're golden.

Epic Astro Story is one of the best "X story" games
