Apparently you can use the Android SDK to hook up your computer properly and then use an app called USB Camera and then you can use the camera via USB, but I can't check right now.
Phone I got is incapable of getting texts now...
went to a few AT&T stores and it's not my SIM :\

I guess android captivate has a problem with receiving texts every once in a while, put my SIM in another phone and got all my shit :\
had me worried
Why would anyone dream of buying a captivate on contract this late?
So anyone know when 2.3 is coming out for the Infuse
My friend Sagar has the Nexus S(I recommended it). When I saw it at 82% battery after being on for 17 hours I thought it was a software issue. Nexus devices just have badass battery life I guess.

And look where that got them. Dual core devices that still stutter from time to time, where iOS and WP7 use single cores and they run buttery smooth.
Uhh what, I had my Nexus One and my mum's iPhone side by side, and transitioning through homescreens, despite having widgets on all 5 of my screens, was noticeably smoother, and my mum only had about 2 and bit pages of apps/folders
Yay, I bought my first Android phone. It's a ZTE Blade or San Francisco called elsewhere. It has Android 2.1 but I heard it's gonna get an update. Thus far I am very happy with it.

My Droid X won't charge via USB to my Macbook. I have not been able to verify it, but I'm quite certain the wire is fine and its the computer not allowing me to charge it. No errors, no messages. Acts like nothing was plugged in. All/any help is appreciated
I'm buying an EVO 3D next week, excited about the sexy specs more than the 3D :D

Grab CM7 nightly and Flash player for ARM V6!
Brilliant little phone, the camera is even rather good in bright lighting.

Can you explain this a little more please? I heard about a lot of things you can do with these phones but I just want to have a way to use youtube.
I apologize for my rude behaviour. It won't happen again.

Can I know what widgets/icons are you using?
Clock + Weather widgets are Fancy Widgets Pro (MIUI Skin)
Battery widget is Beautiful Widgets with some downloaded skin.
Launcher is GO Launcher (Icons are Iphonius)
Calendar is Calendr.
Don't use Firefox mobile. Problem solved. Use Dolphin HD.
Dolphin HD feels all bloated and slow in comparison to Dolphin Mini for me.

I don't browse the internet too often on my phone due to bandwidth limitations (lol Australia) and have never tried using Flash. I do have Flash installed though.

Australia's not that bad if you're on the right plan, I'm getting 2Gb/mth with unlimited calls/txt/social networking for $45/mth and I can pull good speeds in most urban areas

Okay, well you can get a bootloader replacement which lets you flash new ROMS to your phone. So you can ditch android 2.1 with all of the Orange shit installed on it and get Vanilla Android 2.3 with a few extra features, a battery life increase and an overall speed increase. With a new room and if you root your phone you can overclock it slightly, or underclock it to get more battery life out of it.
CM7 is a ROM replacement, its Cyanogen mod.

It's near impossible to completely brick your phone, you can always just get back into the bootloader and re-flash another ROM.
So.. the battery on a SGSII.. whats up with it? I haven't heard anything good yet..

I've had mine on battery for 7 hours today and lost 30%.
CM7 is doing some wonderful things.
I had 68% yesterday at 16:50. I now have 64%

I have the Belgian version which is an unlocked version I think. It has nothing on it that has to do with Mobistar, besides the mobistar homepage on the browser that I replaced with Opera already.
Found the Galaxy S II on eBay for $450...no idea if it'll work on TMobile USA 4G or not...

Its a Motorola thing, don't question it. My RAZR V3 was the exact same way.

Oh wait, I went on their website, the drivers are Windows only.
Phone?
SGSII but forgot to mention that I haven't used it heavily. My point was that losing 4% over almost a full day is pretty impressive. Before I lost 1-2% over a couple hours. It has been on for 1d and 15hours now.
Mine is gay enough to waste 60% battery in standby over the night just by having the cellular connection on. Airplane mode took that down to about 5-10 %.
I've deleted everything thats not necessary, permanently turned off 3G, only turns on Wifi when I use it.
Haven't really done anything else.. Maybe it's 2.3.4 that is to blame.
Install JuiceDefender.
You'll lose a bit of battery compared to just having 3G off 24/7, but it keeps syncing once in a while so you get your mails etc.
