I know it is, but an alternative would be RealPlayer Beta
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.real.RealPlayer
Sure it's in Beta and hasn't been updated in like almost 2 months but it just works for me. It's just that there are some glitches like with the widget. Aside from that, it's awesome. And you can change/pause your music while in lock screen.
RealPlayer?
It's probably one of the worst players on PC, can't see a reason why it would be any different on Android.
just bought a galaxy s2, any snes emulator recommendation?

It's pretty nice on Android, nice ratings too.

I thought Americans detested British things? :v:
Question. What's the difference from the LG Optimus 2x and the LG G2x? Are the specs the same? Do I need different roms for each phone?
[editline]28th December 2011[/editline]
Ah, the specs are the same but there's a different section on the XDA-Developers forum. My bad, I didn't realize these were different phones, I always thought they were the same one :v:

Sure, if you want to pay the roaming rates
I got the Samsung Infuse 4G as a gift, now I'm looking for a ROM for it, should I get GingerReal2?

International Mobile Internet: £5 per MB
Mobile Internet (up to 20MB): 20p per day
Wow...
Hey, does anyone know the rate for mobile data Internet for Rogers Wireless? Or is it that $2/day for 20mb?

Different radio hardware+software I think. I don't think you can put a SIM in the G2x, but don't quote me on that.
I've come into ownership of a Toshiba Thrive. Any suggestions on a ROM to use?
I'm new to the android (Just bought a Samsung Galaxy Ace through Koodo), can anyone give me a link/explanation on the jargon you guys are using, such as "root"?

Root is superuser (aka admin) access. This allows you to do all sorts of stuff you wouldn't normally be able to, such as install custom versions of Android, use the internal Linux terminal, etc.
[editline]and[/editline]
It removes the software/firmware restrictions on your device. It's like Jailbreaking an iPhone if that helps you understand.

Thanks, and what are applications such as Titanium Backup useful for?

As far as I understand from the page, that one in particular backs up your apps and data to the internet (Dropbox it seems).

Can be on the Internet or on your internal or external sdcard.

Thanks dude, really helpful! :)
I don't quite like CM7 for some reason, it doesn't feel right. I'm thinking of switching to a stock-based ROM, any suggestions of some good ones?
EDIT:
Samsung Galaxy S2, btw.
The Thrive Easy Flash Tool has been hanging on "Creating Symbolic links for the busybox binary file" for quite a while. Is this normal? I'd say fifteen minutes-ish.
[editline]28th December 2011[/editline]
Nevermind, it finished.

Before you switch to a stock-based ROM, try MIUI! :D

In the third quarter of next year :(
This is why you shouldn't buy LG phones.
Well that bricked it. Hopefully I can flash a system.img file via fastboot or restore via clockwork. (I was successful in restoring fastboot earlier, luckily).

Search for Galnet miui.
Alright, fixed and I now have root access. Special thanks to the Toshiba Thrive forums for leaving an outdated rooting tool up that bricks newer versions.
Search for Galnet miui.
I believe that is only restricted to AT&T phones, so it doesn't seem to work on my phone.
