As far as i know, the default one plays pretty much all video files (but that's on the sgs2)

I haven't found a single video format that the default video player can't play on Samsung (based) ROMs on my SGS2. They did a really good job there. I tried everything from 3gp to 1080p MKVs.
Edit:
The Tab 10.1 isn't using Exynos though. I'm not sure how hardware dependent their video support is.

Uh, it's for T-Mobile and that uses SIM cards, doesn't it? Asking because I bought a G2X unlocked from eBay but didn't know if I needed different ROMs and shit because I hadn't seen the section on XDA-Developers.
