Well, It's true.
I'm trying to get Clockworkmod recovery on my Galaxy S II (the sprint model, technically an Epic 4G Touch), but I can't use Odin because I don't have access to a Windows computer, what do
Use Heimdall.

I don't think I could ever go back to iOS
Wait until you get a bootloader unlock and development starts for your phone.
Ignhelper only has a SGS2, nothing else. I have no clue why he's lying on here.
Why do you think he is lying?

I've spent over an hour on XDA-Dev forums trying to figure out how to root my Samsung Galaxy S II and flash on CyanogenMod from my Macbook Pro, but it's really got me stumped (I'm new to Android, sorry). Here are the two guides I tried to follow.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1383464 (I tried the third )
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_II:_Full_Update_Guide (I realize this isn't specifically targeted at the Skyrocket, or even a way to root your phone, would it still work?)
I think my main problem is that I'm having trouble making my computer recognize my phone while it's in USB debugging mode (I have allowed applications from unknown sources on). If I turn on the USB mass storage option, my computer picks my phone up as a USB device, but applications such as Heimdall or Odin still don't pick my phone up. Something else interesting is that Spotify detects my phone regardless of whether USB mass storage is on or off on my phone.
Any help would be appreciated :)

I know him on Facebook and Steam, when I asked for pictures of his supposedly "broken" SK17a, he said he left it on the road. Yup, very convincing.
Oh wow, read the first part of your post and wrote this without reading the rest.

The last 3 letters of PDA are the ones you need.
Download ODIN (Google it.)
Connect your phone.
Download the correct cf-root here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399 The correct one is the one that has the last 3 chars from the PDA stuff you looked at in the first step.
For example, the last 3 chars of my PDA was KI4:
CF-Root-SGS2_XW_NEE_KI4-v4.1-CWM4.tar
I got that. Then open odin, connect phone, hit the PDA button, select the tar you downloaded, press start. That's about it.
Anyway, at the top of your screen, slide that shit down, it should say "USB CONNECTED" or some shit, press that shit, you see this shit

Turn on usb storage, do your shit, DONT DISCONNECT THE CABLE UNTIL YOU TURN IT OFF.
EDIT: AND I JUST READ THE LAST SENTENCE OF YOUR POST. :v:
How did the Android robot grow a USB out of his hand anyway?

Screen got smashed, why would I take a broken phone back
I only had that phone with me at that time, and it got broken. I don't own a camera.
I have MIUI flashed on my Samsung Galaxy S2, and there is a massive amount of battery drain, and I only have wifi on. Any ideas on how to reduce the battery drain?
For those of you who have android tablets can you tell me when your tablet comes in handy and if that thing is done better on a phone or not because right now my main reasons for wanting a tablet are browsing the internet while doing work at school (for information and stuff) and for organising my homework and studies since I can use the google calender. Is there anything else that a tablet is REALLY good at?

Have you tried another USB port? I'm not well versed with heimdall, but I know with Odin you need to have the Samsung USB/ADB driver for it to work.

tbh you're better off using this method instead, replacing ODIN with Heimdall.
Galaxy Note - a gigantic phone with a requirement for you to get larger pockets in order to accommodate that gigantic screen. And has actual usefulness with that stylus where you have perfectly good excuses to use it in class.[I] Since the Galaxy Note has the most cutting edge technology, you will shine in the classroom with it! oh yes that's right, the screen and processor of the prime are great for HD movies
Does anyone know of an app that's able to record time?
Like a timestamp thing workers used in old times to record how many hours they worked or if they were late/early.
Maybe that extra widget was a bad idea.

You are using the wrong shade of red, it is almost pink! don't use the default red in the app, make a custom one (press the rainbow).
but it's a good start
Dear sir woukd you care to gaze over to thine left?
Yeah, I've checked the image on 3 various monitors and it's all over the place. Even if I change it someone, somewhere won't be seeing it right.
what exactly is going on in here?
[sp]atleast it's not an xperia mini discussion[/sp]

Get JuiceDefender, it'll disable Wi-Fi when it's not in use (when screen is off).

This has potential.
