I far prefer physical keyboards. Less errors and I can type without focusing on the keyboard.
I want a thin phone.
I want a thin phone.
Change carrier.
Change carrier.
No. AT&T and Verizon suck ass, and have shit phones.
I don't like thin mobile devices. I feel like I'm gonna break them.
Also, best boot animation I've seen so far: [editline]26th July 2011[/editline]
No. AT&T and Verizon suck ass, and have shit phones.
Well, blame your carrier for having custom smartphones. Why only US does this kind of shit?

I recently bought a HTC wildfire, and I wanna root it so I can install cyanogen, I followed the instructions and installed the driver but when I run revoked it just says "waiting for device", it's not recognizng it even though I put it on debug mode. , i'm using this guide. http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=HTC_Wildfire:_Full_Update_Guide What do?
I'd much prefer an SGS2 that had a physical keyboard. It's like taking the best phone on the market, and making it better.
No. AT&T and Verizon suck ass, and have shit phones.
LOL. IMO AT&T is the best US carrier solely because they use 850/1900 bands. Notice how the only SGS II's and Atrix's in the US are activated on AT&T? And once they become AT&T&t-mobile they'll basically be the biggest and best when it comes to their network and their devices.
AT&T has shitty coverage and a slow network.
Shitty coverage? Aren't you on T-mobile? You realize that getting wall penetration and rural coverage is superior with AT&T because they use the 850MHz band right? As for a slow network, it's the same technology. The only reason you would get noticeably slower speeds is because the network is congested. So if that's the case T-mobile is only faster because of their situation relating to the amount of subscribers, not their network being better.

Mean while in the UK
Yes I have Tmo.
Well I'm glad maryland has been designated as the example of the network quality for all carriers across the entire united states and that any experiences there apply to every location in the US.
Yeah I'm just NW of Baltimore. Granted, there are dead zones, but they're very small, and they exist everywhere with any carrier.
Mean while in the UK
ye, same here
http://www.xcubelabs.com/the-android-story.php Awesome
I just posted that on Google+ and Facebook. Pretty awesome graph.
Well I'm glad maryland has been designated as the example of the network quality for all carriers across the entire united states and that any experiences there apply to every location in the US.
Yeah, I have T-Mobile and here in California my reception pretty much sucks. In my house I don't get any reception at all, so I'm thankful for the option to make calls and get the same services through Wi-Fi.
Just bought a ZTE Blade, any must-have applications I can download?

"Message received" or something along those lines for texts. Anything like that available? Well, blame your carrier for having custom smartphones. Why only US does this kind of shit?

Just bought a ZTE Blade, any must-have applications I can download?
First, Gen2 it using a TPT. You can even get ones that Gen2 it and install CM7 straight away (though be it, an outdated version). You need Gen2 for modern ROMs. http://android.modaco.com/topic/337798-gen1-to-gen2-tpt-upgrade/

I'm thinking about putting CM7 on the phone, is it worth the risk?
I have a Gen2 phone, checked it with Mr Pigfish. I'm thinking about putting CM7 on the phone, is it worth the risk?
Oh yeah, it's most definitely worth the tiny risk. You could give another 2.3 ROM ago, Ginger Stir Fry. It's based on a 2.3.3 leak from ZTE and is pretty nice and stable. But I prefer CM7 for it's features.
I am not really sure how would one just flash a new ROM on an Android device, I'd really appreciate it if someone could add me on Steam and walk me through my first flashing procedure.
I am not really sure how would one just flash a new ROM on an Android device, I'd really appreciate it if someone would add me on Steam and walk me through my first flashing procedure.
There is a really nice thread on how to do it on Gen2s here: http://android.modaco.com/topic/335781-22apr-guide-how-to-install-a-custom-rom-on-the-zte-u-v880-or-gen2-device/ I'll add you on steam anyway.
I'd much prefer an SGS2 that had a physical keyboard. It's like taking the best phone on the market, and making it better.
That's the reason I choose the HTC Desire Z. Fairly priced, and with a fold-out keyboard. I literally can't type more than a 5 word sentence with a touchscreen keyboard, before getting incredibly annoyed by it. Absolutely no problem with typing on the physical keyboard on the Desire Z though. I'd wish more manufacturers would think of people like me.
[TDRC] JimJam707: You ready now? VistaPOWA: yes [TDRC] JimJam707: For a journey into custom roms. [TDRC] JimJam707: And awesomeness. [TDRC] JimJam707: A trip of pure cyanogenmodiness.
So i've just installed the (finally) version of CM7 that supports my O2X, what can I now do that i couldn't do on my stock rom?
