If I get a 32gb SD card, is it easy to copy all my files over from my 8gb? Just drag and drop? And whats a good 32gb microsd card to get for my Inspire?
Lucky. Nobody here offers unlimited data here because they know anyone who wants to purchase unlimited data will use a fuckload, especially if tethering is included. Oh, and is the Nexus S worth rooting/flashing a custom rom on? A rogers employee tried to tell me his friend did it and saw no benefits because apparently "The Rogers Samsung Nexus S has no bloatware and runs perfect." Except for the fact the stock keyboard is laggy as shit and can take 10-15 seconds to pop up sometimes.
You can certainly live without custom ROMs on the Nexus S. Maybe you should root if you want some more control over certain aspects, but overall it's pretty good out of the box. I'd say you should go for NSCollab if you are considering a ROM. It's a combination of CM7 and Netarchy kernel. Gives you higher scores in Quadrant and Vellamo than Tegra 2 devices.
Unlimited data is a godsend. also for some reason AT&T is godlike in this town, the reception is amazing except in one part where we always pass thats like a 10 foot dead zone.
Bought my SG2 here in Dubai, moving back to Cali with it and going to use it with my unlimited ATT plan too. Can't wait. Although ATT sucks there, it's unlimited so it's still worth it. :D Also having no 3g plan here in Dubai sucks, so having an unlimited plan in Cali is going to feel so much sweeter. Also guys, what's with SG2's overheating and battery dying out quick, I've noticed sometimes my battery dies out way too fast, and sometimes when charging, it says charging but stays on the same %age for the whole time, and heats up like an oven. Read online, and it's been happening to a few people as well. But not all, might be something to do with some of the phones having Tegra and some having something else, forgot it's name. Happens very rarely though.

Should only take an hour or so.. I would look around, I buy a lot of stuff from amazon/ebay but make sure you don't get some Chinese ripoff.
snip nevermind, they're just trials.

Anyone used an Extended battery with their SGS2? I saw a thread on XDA Where someone got a 3500mAh battery off eBay and it lased him 5 and a bit days. Anyone here got one?
Anybody know of an Android app for wifi tethering where I can keep the SSID from broadcasting?
Just got my Galaxy S2!
Just got my Galaxy S2!
I am so jelly right now. Edit: How do I convince my friend to install CM7 on her GSII?
I am so jelly right now. Edit: How do I convince my friend to install CM7 on her GSII?
Don't try if she doesn't know how to do it.
I am so jelly right now. Edit: How do I convince my friend to install CM7 on her GSII?
You don't? If she has no need for CM7, don't root it.
I've heard of them, I really want to buy one, along with a dock and a case.. There will be the odd few that overheat and such but as long as you don't buy off shady websites you should be fine. Now off the BF3 :v:
Wow, Kies sucks. Tried just putting some music under a folder called music on usbStorage and the phone wouldn't detect it. Added it to Kies, and it keeps crashing half way through syncing.
If anyone wants a Spotify invite, PM me.
Does anybody know when the genuine Samsung accessories will be coming to Canada? I'd love to get the genuine case, another battery and a dock to charge both my SGS2 and the spare battery.
I am so jelly right now. Edit: How do I convince my friend to install CM7 on her GSII?
Don't. CM7 is far from ready for the SGSII. I love CM, it was by far the best ROM for my old phone, but on the GSII the stock firmware is still far superior to CM. At least wait until a stable version is released, nightlies aren't meant for daily use.

UK-based online retailer Clove Technology reports that it'll begin selling a white version of Samsung's flagship smartphone from August 15. There are no photos available just yet, but the internals match the impressive specs of the black original, and the price tag isn't too far off either -- the white Galaxy S II will sell for £410, compared to £399 for the black version. The Galaxy S II has already seen success internationally, with 5 million units sold in just 85 days. Head on over to our full review of the device to find out why it's one of the most exciting Android phones of the year.
http://www.androidcentral.com/white-samsung-galaxy-s-ii-coming-august-15-says-uk-retailer
That was posted last page. Try to check at least one page back before you post something. I typically check 3 pages back to make sure it wasn't posted yet.
Also, that T-Mobile girl is smoking hot.
I'd tap it.
Will Tegra SGSII version come out? Because if it will I'll beg for it for the rest of my life
Will Tegra SGSII version come out? Because if it will I'll beg for it for the rest of my life
Why? The Exynos chip is better.
I've got some things picked out on amazon, wondering what you all think of them. Those headphones work but people will kill you in public. Everyone will be able to hear the sound with those, they're open air type headphones.
What is wrong with unofficial batteries?
What is wrong with unofficial batteries?
Nothing, just make sure you get one with good reviews.
What is wrong with unofficial batteries?
Every time I hear about smartphones overheating or even exploding they're always using unofficial batteries. I just steer clear because there is that small chance that you could get a damaged device. Maybe that's just me though, but again all those horror stories involve 3rd party battery packs. [editline]27th July 2011[/editline] Like Xera said you just need to make sure that other people were the guinea pigs before you. Don't buy some third party ones that nobody has left feedback on.
Speaking of overheating, I went into the Verizon store because my keyboard was ignoring key presses and double inputting some, and here's what they told me: Said that the missed keypresses + double repeats I was getting was from the phone having overheated at some point, and the keyboard is coming away from the keys a bit (The rubber mat is 'bubbled' a bit in some spots) were indicators of overheating too. No idea if it's actually true or if he made it up/is misinformed. Not sure if it's something I did or it's previous owner did :v:
