Nevermind I'm wrong.
Radio Interface Layer.

Nope nope nope.
MIUI is, at the moment, ARMv7 only. Also it's closed source.
Okay, so I'm pretty much settled on the HTC Desire S.
It has everything I need, looks great, and is very affordable (getting one SIM Free).
The only thing that could put me off now is a scathing experience from you experts. If any.
It means there won't ever be a proper MIUI port.
And nothing of value was lost. iOS has a revolting interface and I wouldn't want a clone of it.
If you're willing to go on a 3yr contract, you can get a SGS II for $20 from Bell
sgs2 is gonna be seriously obsolete in 3 years.
I've still got 2 years left on my Omnia 2 contract with Bell lol, that's why I bought my SGS2 outright.
Debatable
I want the galaxy S2 but it's not on Verizon :(
oh hey guys hows it going with your galaxy s2's? mine is doing great
I'm going to be getting a ZTE Blade soon, can anyone recommend me a ROM?
oh hey guys hows it going with your galaxy s2's? mine is doing great
I love mine <3
oh hey guys hows it going with your galaxy s2's? mine is doing great
My only problem is the wake up delay, about 2.5-3 seconds after hitting the button to wake it up, that can be after setting it down for 5 seconds or for 5 hours.

Specs are believed to be:
Specs of the Hurcules are rumoured to have similar design features as the Galaxy S II and have a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display (resolution of 480×800). This is expected to run Android OS 2.3 Gingerbread, come with a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 16GB internal ROM and 1GB internal RAM, supports NFC, 42Mbps capable, 8 megapixel camera that records 1080p videos and also a front facing camera for video calling.
Well that sucks. I honestly don't believe it at all but if it's true you're getting a pretty crippled device.

A samsung without a Samsung CPU? Lies.

when is 2.4 coming out?
never had that problem
stock OS
Completely stock ROM? gotta link that boom boom boom. Running Cognition S2 V1.15 and I think Litening while looking worse ran better.
yep, completely stock
got no reason to root it really
Read stock thinking stock android, my bad. I thought I would get more out of it especially after what I read on XDA from rooting or even removing Samsung Apps.
Litening is the one that has the delay for me, considering moving.
when is 2.4 coming out?
It may not necessaries be 2.4 but Ice Cream Sandwich is due out later this year. I can see it taking a new numbering scheme as the OS has apparently been massively changed, combining phone and tablet features.

Why do people call it 2.4? Google would have to be pretty damn retarded to go from 2.3 to 3.0 to 3.1 to 3.2 and then back to 2.4. It simply doesn't make sense. I'd probably think it would be a 4.0.

Loving mine
Only problem I have is it gets painfully hot when playing dungeon defenders

Only happens when I leave mine locked for a while
oh, okay!
anyway, might root it in a near future but ill really need to learn how it all works and if ill really use it
i dont even know the upsides of it or something useful it can do which it cant now

imo they should have made Tablet versions end in T or something. I didn't know a 3.2 existed untill now, and I guess its a tablet version.

ICS will be 4.0, and it will be the next major version so there will be no 2.4, just bug fixes and small patches for 2.3.

At the moment Honeycomb(3.0) is tablet only, but Ice Cream Sandwich(4.0) will unify the phone and tablet side of things.
overclocking.yyeeea thats pretty much it.
i wont ever overclock my galaxy s2... its fucking boiling hot as it is
i wont ever overclock my galaxy s2... its fucking boiling hot as it is
Yeah seriously you could cook stuff on the back of this thing sometimes
I think tomorrow at work I'm gonna grab one of the infrared thermometers we sell and see just how hot it gets on the outside. It's only really gotten hot to the point where I was worried when playing dungeon defenders, while running n64oid(Which plays beautifully smooth) it is fine.
Also I don't see a reason to overclock this. When I had my Desire HD it was worth it, because there was a noticeable performance increase, but I haven't found a single thing my GS2 couldn't run perfectly.
please tell us tomorrow how hot it gets!
and yea, everything runs so smoothly on this phone you actually dont need to overclock it
n64oid runs perfectly as an example
