Trim the sides of a Micro SIM to make in Normal sized?
Energy to matter conversion is possible, but it hasn't been done before.
Guess he'll be the first to do it in order to make a microSIM into a normal one.
So are you going to be getting the optimus 3D/Evo 3D when they come to rogers?
I have the optimus 3D and it's absolutely great.
also wow some of the slang in this thread goes beyond me. I guess I need to read up more
edit:
So let me get this clear. When you root your phone you lose warranty, but you can customize it completely?
Is there anything else you can do besides adblock and customization?

Overclocks, more thorough backups, change screen density, remove bloatware apps, Apps2SD, better memory management, custom boot animations.
That's what I can think of off the top of my head.
Anyone know any app that mimics the IOS5 notification bar? Or the widgets it had on the IOS 5 notification?,
Please tell me you're joking right?
It's kinda funny, the notifications bar was the thing that convinced me to go for Android, instead of getting the iPhone 4.

I know they copied android, but it looks pretty nice.

It's a different colour scheme
My SGSII screen is perfect, there's no banding or anything.
Every SGS2 has banding. Dial *#0*# and choose the dimming test.
Woo, got myself the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10i today. Very, very happy with it :v: (I used to own a iPod 1G, so you must understand my reaction)
So I take it the SGS2 will be worth it? I'm due for an upgrade.
I had a droid 1 and loved it, got a droid 2 after the D1 broke as a replacement and then when the D2 broke itself it'd been more then a year so I had to get a phone for work and got the Droid X. Now when I saw the Droid 3 I was all excited but the screen was so small, and now that I think I'm past having a physical keyboard I think I'm gonna get the SGS2 if it's worth it.
Opinions on what I should do?
Get it.

Anyone know where I can get the official HTC wallpapers to fit my galaxy S II? Especially the one with the chick in sunglasses.
It still pisses me off that Samsung makes a phone with rounded corners and apple sues the shit out of them for stealing the rounded corner idea...
Apple steals the pull down notification bar from Samsung and... they are just borrowing, its not even the same thing clearly...
What kind of shit is that?
There are some dates about Verizon getting the GS2 mid August and Spring in September... Which makes me upset because I feel like AT&T won't put it out at the same time as the iphone so if they don't release it soon, we won't get it until after the iPhone.

Apple stole the notification bar from an iOS developer that made it for jailbroken devices.
YEEEES!
Unbricked my phone. Couldn't get fastboot to work at all. Tried asking in different forums but no one would offer any help. Eventually I just said fuck it and ran a firmware update for a similar model with kdz updater. Was a bit buggy trying to get the first boot to work, took about half an hour to do so and display wasn't working right, but in the end I rooted and got CWM installed again (The right way this time), and managed to restore everything to before anything went wrong.
First time bricking and wasn't sure what I was doing, but it's fixed and I couldn't be any happier.
Apple stole the notification bar from an iOS developer that made it for jailbroken devices.
I think everything in iOS5 was stolen from jailbreak features. Maybe devs will get fed up with that kind of stuff and move over to a platform where they can publish their customizations without restrictions.
iPhone uses a micro-sim. You're gonna need to make/buy a converter.
Piss. I will have to get a new SIM while still on contract, then. Thanks.
-nvm got it-
HTC Wildfire. Has better multitouch than the Desire and HD2. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

This article sums up all the patent talk pretty well.
HTC Wildfire. Has better multitouch than the Desire and HD2. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Wait, why is the Wildfire £100 cheaper than the HTC Desire S?
E: Oh, because it's more basic.
HTC Wildfire. Has better multitouch than the Desire and HD2. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
The original desire has no multitouch. The word multi can't be applied to something where there's only two. It's a dual touch panel.

I have yet to see any application that uses more than 2 fingers.

Game called Fruit Ninja. Just tried it to be sure, cutting fruit with 3 fingers.. O.o
It gets complicated to actually hit anything though (can't see shit over my hand)
I have yet to see any application that uses more than 2 fingers.
Most gameloft games, fruit ninja. Also the point of my post wasn't to say that it makes it a bad panel, the point of my post was to correct the notion that it was a multitouch capable panel.

Looks pretty cool.
[editline]3rd August 2011[/editline]
I'm really glad they brought over their TW4 widgets. Their clock widget, weather widget, email widget, agenda ect are all pretty cool. The mini app tray looks cool. Also the dedicated screenshow button sounds great. Everything looks smooth. Some of the bloat is there but It can probably be removed with root although I would prefer some of it be destroyed and removed from the universe.
I lost my gs2 charger. And it cost 45 bucks from the official shop. You guys know where I can get it for a cheaper pro e? Preferably in my local currency

Buy a USB charger and a long usb to micro usb cable

Go to any hotel and say your uncle lost it while he was staying there. Phone chargers are the thing most commonly left behind in Hotels, so they usually just have a big bag full of them. It's just a matter of identifying a charger that will work with it. (This is assuming that Hotels work the same way in Singapore as America)
Finally decided to just go with a cheap case for now, picked this one out, and these because the SGS2's batteries suck.
The reviews on the batteries were really good, but there is always the chance I get a shitty batch.. hopefully that won't be the case.
But mostly, what do you all think of the case picked out?
