What is everyone's favourite keyboard application? I use Swype, and I think it is pretty good.
Stock Android keyboard in 2.3+ rules in my opinion.
Does anybody actually have a phone that displays the OS name instead of the version number?
Google hasn't decided the version number yet, could be 2.4, 3.3, or 4.0. So right now it's just IceCreamSandwich.
I'm hoping it's 4.0.
So Verizon is sopposed to be getting the galaxy s 2 between the 12th and the 14th. At least, one news source says that. Here's a guy with his fingers crossed.

Is there something like the ZTE Blade for people in the US? :(

Why not pick up something like the Inc? http://www.amazon.com/HTC-INCREDIBLE-Android-Verizon-Wireless/dp/B004AFVEOC/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1313130624&sr=8-9
The Inc is 400Mhz faster and it runs CM7 like a dream, so I'd vouch for it.
I decided to try Quadrant on my phone, even though most of the time it's a pretty useless indicator:

Interesting.

Can I have a hand with this moron, he really does think that a mobile phone UI stretched to 10" looks good and is the best thing in existance.

it's in line with the rest of devices once you realize how much of that will be dedicated to the virtual buttons in ICS

I was thinking more about holding it/using it/fitting it in pocket

WOOOOOOOOO
Why the delay.
Goddamn, is the US always this far behind in cell phones? I'm going to be in college by the time it releases, a situation I was hoping to avoid.
so expensive
If you could still get it with a contract it'd be dirt cheap, unfortunately. What's your price range? Free to free?

Shit, I was hoping it'd be sooner so I wouldn't have to give my dad tech support from school.

If I knew I could get something for free if I lived in another country, I wouldn't feel too bad about finding the .apk somewhere.

quake3droid runs fine with lightmaps (hovers around 35fps, dips to 18 when there's a lot of gunfire). it's a bitch to play though because the controls are really fucking sensitive
manufacturers should have a 'do you want to install our x UI on your device' on first startup
at least they're finally realizing people are just going to root this shit anyway and so they're all starting to announce boot unlockers
Anyone have a recommendation for a free media/mp3 player for a Captivate?

Doubletwist is my favorite because I can access videos and music through it. The UI is also very nice.

Lol that's the joke. One of the Canadians above was complaining that he couldn't get it. Also have fun getting updates with your pirated apk off of google.
