What do I do?
How did you root your phone?
Just wipe battery settings from recovery

Looking over that guide there doesn't seem to be a step for flashing a custom recovery.

Thats the standard procedure for custom recoveries. Maybe download ROM Manager from the market and flash Clockworkmod from there, then boot into recovery.
I hope Ice Cream Sandwich gets ported to my blade :(
I don't see a reason why it wouldn't be ported.

Also, the official Android figure is back in stock, if you're interested:

Awww, just got back from the mall, me and my dad found some honeycomb tablets, but they weren't cheaper than in Moscow. We also saw that 5 inch dell phone, my dad wanted to buy it, and I thought it was pretty rad too (although that may have been influenced by the fact that I'd get his desire hd if he bought that), but in the end we decided to just get real tablets instead.
Also. Fake iPads, fake iPads EVERYWHERE.

TalkMobile £30/m 12 months + £120 for phone. This is the contract I went with.
With £46 cashback through quidco it's cheaper than buying the handset. So far I've had no problems with them, and they're owned by carphone warehouse so you can always go into a store and moan if you do.

Nevermind, says so in thread.
just ordered my Samsung Galaxy S II
Full charge is around 4200mV, so I'd say you're close enough. Isn't there an option to force calibration?
If it were working properly, 3968 would be 10-20% under the proper charge, but if it's stuck there I guess that's all it's going to give him.
Is it possible to emulate old games on android? I'm talking fallout 1 & 2 and such.
Would love to be able to play such games while on bus to work (2 hours of bus per day)

Not windows games, no.

ScummVM and Dosbox are two programs that do such a thing and they've been ported to Android. I didn't see Fallout working anywhere but you can look into it.
I'm wondering if I should install a custom rom for my Legend, I don't really know anything about what a custom rom does, so if anyone knows a good one, and if anyone could explain what a custom rom does that would be great :D

Better battery life, performance, stability, also sometimes neato stuff like 3D launchers.

Hm, I'll have to look around... Found one that seems to be pretty good, except with it I can't use WiFi, and that's the only way I can access the internet on my phone so...

CyanogenMod is really good.

It's a shame how few recent devices are supported officially...
Yeah I'd just go with CyanogenMod 7.0.3 for now. It is basically Stock Gingerbreard Android++, coming from a Legend user myself.

Most of it is because the developers are locked in 2 year contracts. My main hope is that CM is still being updated for my phone when ICS comes out.
How can I stream video files from my PC to my htc Inspire? Can I do it using VLC?

IMO is the DosBox for Android port still in it's infant stage.
only usable for a handful of games out of all those working with the pc version.

If you can you can try setting some files accessible to the LAN and then trying to use CifManager to access the network drive/whatever it is you're using to open up the file and play it using the Gallery application/Video player built into the phone.
I've never tried though.

Also I hate how Android will randomly just completely freak out and battery usage will be horrific because the idle power consumption rockets to 30 mA or so. I need an application that can somehow control/fix this, instead of having to pull the battery and hope it fixes itself.

this shit is off the wall, what this acquisition does for google is literally unreal
