Has anyone managed to port cyanogen mod the Optimus One? I also can't find the gingerbread update for it.
I use this on my Optimus T, it's a fairly good rom
Does anyone have a nice I9000 base kernel for CM7?
Mine is crashy is hell.

Guys, I am the most idiotic person in the world
I have reflashed, made some factory resets, formatted my sdcard...
And looks like the crashes reason was the LauncherPro's "Keep in memory" function

Check this out, they are totally making PCSX2 android
Probably dualcore only

Hard-bricking a phone feelsbadman.
At least I can get it unbricked by sending it off to someone with the equipment to do it.

Hmm...I can't decide if I'd rather have an X2 or not. With CM7 my X already runs crazy fast, and the only thing I'd use that extra power for is emulators...which I really don't need considering I can run Gameboid just fine and I do most of my gaming on my laptop anyway. And ironically, the X2 lacks a camera button which means no hard right trigger.
I've been looking at these tablets, how are they?

As long as it's under $300 with gift cards, it's fine, since I'm going to be buying a computer in November anyway
(bear in mind I know nothing about tablets, so feel free to suggest something completely different)

If you want to know what I think, I'm leaning more towards the Acer
Obviously the Acer.
I really want to try MIUI.
If I'll make a nandroid backup, install MIUI, and then restore the nandroid everything would be fine, right?

If for some reason it didn't, you would just go through the steps to flash your old rom (and the kernel and shit) and then try the restore again. If you aren't already, you should really be using titanium backup. A prepared android user has nothing to fear except actual bricking.
I think ive read about it on facepunch before, but is there an app that can turn off and on services throughout the day? example: I work in a fucking cave and my phone doesn't get service, so automatically turning off my 3g service and wifi on at 8am would be awesome.

Why would they be on in the first place?
Why would they be on in the first place?
what?
Currently, the only service I run during the day is my generic 3g service.
bluetooth, gps, data sync and wifi are all off unless I need them.

But that's completely impossible. Even modern x86 processors struggle with PS2 emulation.

Pretty much all Android devices uses ARM based processors, and not X86 based processors.
And if I'm not mistaken, ARM processors have A LOT more in common with the Emotion Engine used in the PS2, than any X86 based processor.

I woke up to an update for titanium backup this morning that said "added support for android x86 platforms" and I was like "wait, what?"

Well, I didn't know that. I thought PowerPC was completely different from x86 and ARM.

The Android x86 project is just something to get Android running on old Windows tablets, UMPCs and Netbooks.

if you have that much money to drop on a tablet get the transformer, it's better in every measurable way over the acer tablet
So I'm behind on the tablet scene.
What is the best tablet money can buy at the moment?
Either the Transformer or the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Tasker is probably what you're thinking of.
Compared my HTC Magic to my SGS II using FPse and Gran Turismo 1.
Magic: 2fps
SGS II: 120fps
Now I gotta wait till they get the PS3 controller working on the SGS II, then I will be forever happy.
Yeah, if I can use my PS3 controller on my SGS2, ohhhh would it ever be great, play quake 3 wherever with it, gran turismo 1 and 2.. what phones can use the controller so far though?

You can use the Controller on the SGS II, just not on any Samsung based rom as it doesn't use the stock BT driver. I've heard the MIUI rom works fine, so I'm downloading it (Also to see what the fuss is about over it :v:)
Whats the best Android Tablet on the market?
Galaxy Tab 10.1, tossed up with the Transformer and eventually the Slider.
Until the new Quad-core tablets get out on the market, those are the only viable options.
Ok, I got the controller working perfectly.
The only gripe I have with MIUI is that the menus are too similar to iPhone.
hnnnnng Dark Theme...
I just joined Galaxy Ace club and I'd like to know where to find minimalist themes. Can anybody introduce me to flashing and rooting, please?
Update: Found GingeReal ROM and I don't understand any freaking Android term like stock KPH/KPN firmware, flash, mount system, cmw and etc. Yeah, a short and basic introduction would really help.
Update 2: Browsing CyanogenMod Wiki, I found what I was looking for.
Flash= Writing an OS to the flash memory, CWM=Clockwork Mod Recovery, the utility that lets you flash ROMs. Try to find a guide on your device's forums for specific terminology. I think KPH/KPN refers to the Samsung name for the ROM.
