[B]Update:[/B] Holy shit, I'm shitting adrenaline right now, I just rooted my phone! You know that feeling when rooting you think that your expensive device will brick? I used [url=http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034145]this method[/url], it's focused on my telephone. By the way, latest SoC(SuperOneClick) doesn't support Galaxy Ace. Man that method I used was easy.
Well, just finished a solid hour's session of Gran turismo with the PS3 controller and the battery only went down by 10%.
I was considering an extended battery for gaming but it's not nessecary :v:

Hey guys, it's been a while. My sister wants to know what good phones there are for Verizon. I don't remember any of the names.
Is she at all tech inclined or a pretty average cell phone user? Droid 3 and X2 are pretty nice either way. The Droid 3 has a physical keyboard if she does a lot of texting.

well the DX[i]1[/i] is absolutely terrible and I'd personally stay away from everything Motorola. At least for the moment, we'll see what Google pumps out later down the line now that they own Motorola

too bad the hardware is shit and Verizon demands $20/mo for their horrible wifi tethering otherwise you risk termination if caught.
the cheap ass buttons on the front make me think I could craft a better phone from stone, the phone will sit in my pocket for a few hours unused and become [b]extremely[/b] hot, same thing if sitting on a desk with the back up. The camera button feels like total shit and generally feels like a cheap phone. The screen is overly large and you may enjoy it at first but you come to hate it considering it's really heavy and the screen doesn't look nearly as nice as some other Androids, and it's just kinda annoying to have a phone so large.

They're basically the same since they both build on the official stock MIUI. They support the same languages and everything. Honestly, the only thing separating most MIUI-roms are the included apps, sometimes the theme, and if they're only compatible with one device. MAYBE some small change in the rom, but thats always available through an addon.

If you think you can wait until october, I say wait and see what the next Nexus will be like. I think that the HTC Sense UI is buttfuck ugly and bloated, that obviously won't matter if you are planning to root it, but Nexus' have better community support.
GSII is nice, but as I said, if you can wait until october ICS might be out by then. It seems they will offer a software alternative to the physical buttons today, so who knows, you might get a phone with just a nice screen.
Remember though, the best idea is to go to a phone store and just try them all. That gives you a better idea of the phone than videos and reviews will ever give.
Swype is amazing on tablets, it's been redesigned to support the higher resolutions.

Seeing as how there are/were very popular projects attempting to port HTC Sense to Galaxy S phones, clearly there are people out there who like it. Personal preference thing, I personally like the much more consistent and integrated feel of everything. Nexus' are good in that their software is stock Android, which means the best ROM is just an improved stock ROM, which I always prefer over any other type of ROM (port from other devices, etc etc).

We just got our hands on exclusive photos and details of a mysterious Android handset from Verzo, a newcomer to the market. The phone's called the Kinzo and is slated for a launch in late September.
