Where's the option for no?
hit the left arrow button at the top of your browser, but if you really clicked this thread just to post some hilariously witty comment, you're perhaps retarded and should probably seek a highschool counselor or something and ask them to give you a hug [editline]11:24PM[/editline]
The first iPhone was called iPhone 2G.
no it wasn't, it was called "iPhone" it happened to have 2G data but Apple never called it "iPhone 2G" and no reputable tech sites called it "iPhone 2G" ever. [editline]11:26PM[/editline] and if you were seriously thinking "DEH UH WHY THE OTHER ONEC ALLED 3G? LOL???" then it's because the SECOND model sports 3G data. the second model is also the second generation and at times was actually referred to as iPhone 2G being that 2G stands for second generation does that clear it up?
~truth bomb~ monthly bill on an iphone is the same as monthly bill on any other phone
Nah, I can get a cheaper plan. I have an iPod Touch 2G
iPod Touch 3rd Gen, got it yesterday.
no, 3GS is 100% separate from iPod Touch, there is not 3GS iPod Touch. 3G on the iPhone is 3G data, and so the iPhone 3G was the first one to have 3G data. it was also the 2nd generation, but with 3rd generation data. the 3GS, however, is the 3rd generation iPhone and the S does indeed stand for speed. when people say "iPod Touch 3GS" they're somehow in their own minds referring to the 3rd gen iPod Touch. in this case, it's not called the 3GS and there isn't any 3G iPod Touch anything because they do not sport cellular radio ie 3G data. here's a quick little chart on iPhone <-> iPod Touch versions to clear things up, only with the real names. 1st generation: iPhone <-------> iPod Touch 2nd generation: iPhone 3G <---> iPod Touch 3rd generation: iPhone 3GS <--> iPod Touch 4th generation: iPhone 4 <-----> iPod Touch surely you see a pattern here: all iPod Touches, regardless of generation and what iPhone came out, are officially referred to as just iPod Touch
iPods have always been referred to by their generation. ie iPod Touch 3G, iPod Nano 4G, etc. "I have an ipod touch" is equivalent to "I have an ati card and a 2ghz dual core cpu" it could mean anything
iPods have always been referred to by their generation. ie iPod Touch 3G, iPod Nano 4G, etc. "I have an ipod touch" is equivalent to "I have an ati card and a 2ghz dual core cpu" it could mean anything
2G, 3G, and 4G mean network/data on phones.. so wouldn't it make sense to just say 4th gen or 3rd gen?
iPods have always been referred to by their generation. ie iPod Touch 3G, iPod Nano 4G, etc. "I have an ipod touch" is equivalent to "I have an ati card and a 2ghz dual core cpu" it could mean anything
i don't think you absorbed everything i said very well. i'll make it much more blunt and clear yeah ipod touches have been referred to by their generation eg "1G, 2G, 3G, 4G," but what i'm saying is 3GS is irrelevant as the 3GS iPhone is the 3rd gen iPhone and the 3GS iPod Touch equivalent is also the 3rd gen, but it's not called the 3GS by anybody but retards. also the op refers to the 3rd gen iPhone and iPod touch both as "3G/3GS" which is fucking dumb because he also listed 2nd gen and that's what the iPhone 3G is, and the 3G equivalent iPod Touch is also the 2nd gen. iPod Touches are not officially called 1G, 2G, 3G, or 4G, they're referred to just as iPod Touch by Apple, and for generation accessories they add "1st Generation, 2nd Generation, etc." should i make a chart or something? [editline]11:29AM[/editline]
2G, 3G, and 4G mean network/data on phones.. so wouldn't it make sense to just say 4th gen or 3rd gen?
guess what: 2G in data means 2nd generation, 3G in data means 3rd generation, and 4G in data means 4th generation. what does that tell us? that 2G meant 2nd generation before 2G data, 3G meant 3rd generation before 3G data, and 4G meant 4th generation before 4G data. exciting isn't it
guess what: 2G in data means 2nd generation, 3G in data means 3rd generation, and 4G in data means 4th generation. no wai that 2G meant 2nd generation before 2G data, 3G meant 3rd generation before 3G data, and 4G meant 4th generation before 4G data. So? exciting isn't it no but you sound fucking retarded
.
iPod Touch 4g coming back Tuesday, pretty damn excited!
1st gen Touch, shit barely works anymore
1st gen Touch, shit barely works anymore
same here
iPod Touch 4th gen, got it on Friday. :D
.
probably because you're an idiot
Got a 4th gen iPod touch and I must say, it's a nice step up from a second gen.
You're not supposed to group the 3G with the 3GS, they're totally different in (envious) performance. Oh yes, I have a 1 year old iPhone 3G. The home button is starting to wear. :crying: It also totally crashes into a never-ending continuous restart every 6 months somehow.
iPod 2 and soon to be iPod 4.
Just got my 4G, its pretty epic!
Posting this on my iPhone 4
I have an iPod touch 1G. Not the greatest, but hey, I'm happy with what it does, most of the time. I'm still switching away from iOS though.
