Assuming general consumer laws, Does warranty extend/renew after you've RMA'd product and got a brand new replacement? I mean say I bought CPU 6 months ago, now I had to RMA it and I received brand new CPU. Will warranty be counted from original purchase date from 6 months ago or current new CPU warranty?
Generally your warranty start date and length will not change when you RMA something, even if they send you a new product as a replacement. You generally have no legal right for a warranty extension, so companies have no reason to do it.
What about warranty from manufacturer? I think AMD gives 3 years warranty?
Than 3 years from date of purchase. Also, you may want to check Irish/EU warranty laws as I know the US has some different laws as far as warranties go so you may want to look into that as HarryHy and I are giving you info based on a US perspective.

So by default, your warranty will still end on the same date unless the company is polite enough to extend it. Best thing to do would be to ask the manufacturer what their RMA warranty policy is, but chances are they will not extend the warranty under most cases.
So this happen to me for the first time. I was playing Starcraft 2 on max settings like usual and then my pc turned off. My ASUS motherboard tells me that it turned off because it detected a surge spike in my power supply and wanted to protect it. I read online that its because of dirty power from my apartments electrical. Any thought?

It could also be that your power supply is going bad too, which can trigger it. Under stress, flaky power supplies can show issues. What power supply do you have (make, model, wattage) out of curiosity?
On win 8.1, when a fullscreen program crashes, I have to reset my computer. NOTHING will override the "fullscreen.". The crashed program always remains "on top" Task manager is below it even though I have "always on top" selected. I can't alt tab, nothing. Sometimes when I use my keyboards "shutdown" button I can hit cancel and then it'll be on the desktop, but only when I get the "make sure you save your work..." screen. Any solutions?
System Refresh

Still under 2 years is short.
Is it okay to use laptop after radiation therapy? Like when you are highly radioactive and should avoid contact with other people, would it damage laptop or phones in any way?

I use an Xbox One headset as headphones for the PC. How come that sometimes the volume is very quiet? Half the time, I have to set the PC volume at around 15% and it's quite loud, and other times when maxed out it's too quiet. I always have the bass boosted by 6 dB. Volume equalization is always off. I feel like this has to do with me plugging my earbuds into the PC, and changing the bass boost to 16 dB, but I can't figure out how to fix it.
I assume you have the setting to "reduce volume when headset is active feature" disabled right?
Its not treated as a headset because there's only one jack for it, which is put into audio. Only with the controller can I hear audio and use the mic.
Guys, is my HDD dying? Should I replace it soon? [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/fQXk9/d5c9c6c220.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/fQXsT/8ee4628729.PNG[/img_thumb]

You'll have to replace it since, of course, it's going to get worse and eventually fail. Running a chkdsk command only checks for system file issues and doesn't do any good on determining the health status of the drive. If the drive is failing then it actually could further worsen it.

Oh, and is it possible to move all my data from the dying drive to the new drive, and then rename the drive to F:\ so all my programs etc. are in the right place?
Yes, when you get everything copied over, you can use disk management to assign the drive to letter F once the old one is removed.
I actually have to use disk management every other Windows install because the first time had my main data partition as E:\, and sometimes Windows does the sensible thing and makes that drive D:\ instead
svchost.exe has been spontaneously shooting up in RAM usage lately (.9-1.5gb) and I don't have a lot of RAM to begin with (3gb). I literally have to sit here and wait for it to stop shitting everywhere to do anything. Is there any way to tell it to fuck off without screwing up something else?
You have to disable the service that's acting up. It's pretty much impossible to tell exactly what service that is, but you can get a list of candidates by getting the PID of the RAM consuming svchost (it's a task manager column), then sorting by PID in the services tab from there you're stuck with trial and error, sorry
So I've become really hesitant to buy the 970. I've been looking into AMD cards currently and the 290x is $30 cheaper then the strix 970 and it works way better at 4k while being full 4GB, though AMD is also going to probably announce the 300 series by the end of the month, and I want to see what the pricing on the 380-390x will be compared to there performance (which leaks / speculation put the 390x on about 70-80% faster then the 290x and the 380x at about 65%) Anyone know the advantages/disadvantages of both AMD and NVIDIA (other than "muh 4gb" and spaceheater / electric bill puns) and how some of the current cards (280x, 290x) function (because its pretty likely that the 300 series will also have the same issues) against NVIDIA cards? I don't have very much money to throw around so I cant buy both a 970 and a 290x to see exactly how they function against eachother / how supported the drivers are etc.

Ever since getting a new video card, certain programs and text have been distorted. For example, here's a simple program I'm working on: My screen resolution matches my GPU resolution. My monitor is a Sanyo DP19649. My Video card is an nVidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti, and is connected via HDMI cable.
