It's also bad against widespread malware too... So hence why it's bad overall. [editline]23rd February 2015[/editline]
Obviously. It's not the game being capped at 60FPS, it's just it sitting in the <60FPS range
Then we'll need a little more info Specs? Reinstalled? Were you running the 64bit executable before when you first got 120fps?

Were you running the 64bit executable before when you first got 120fps?
GTX770 2GB, i5 3310, 8GB RAM on a 7.2k RPM HDD @ 1440x900 Just got done reinstalling to no avail Yes, altough I haven't tried running the x86 executable yet. I'll have a look at that
32bit locks it all on low. That's why I ask since obviously it'll make your fps higher. And are you sure you're not just getting the expected performance out of that card? http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2013/11/27/battlefield-4-performance-analysis/3

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2013/11/27/battlefield-4-performance-analysis/3
Not when the game used to run flawlessly on Ultra. My res is also much lower than that (1440x900) and strangely enough altering settings does not help my FPS. 32bit executable, all locked on low, in a 32 man rush I can't break past the 60FPS mark. I noticed the performance drop began after I updated my GPU drivers. I wasn't the only one, either, but it still doesn't explain why BF4 is the only game on my system where I have this issue!
sitting below the 50°C range. Only Origin and Dropbox at the moment Also, usage of GPU and CPU sit at 50-60% on a 64 player server (checking with MSI afterburner) and none of my four cores are parked I'm on W8.1 64bit
You don't have the Resolution Scale setting anything higher than 100%, right?
You don't have the Resolution Scale setting anything higher than 100%, right?
yep, sitting at 100%. Even at 25% I get the same shitty FPS really starting to think it's just borked Swedish-American coding to blame here.
Check your CPU again. There is no Intel i5 3310 (unless I somehow missed it). Reinstall/rollback/update drivers and reset nvidia profiles. Last resort: reformat

How are ASUS laptops with RAM upgradability? I'm looking to buy the Asus F552LDV-SX1068H, the problem is that it only has 4GB which can be upgraded to 8GB. Is there by any chance anybody here who has this laptop and can tell me if the RAM easily accessible or should I just buy it and see it for myself?
I may be wrong, being as I haven't used a laptop really in over two years since I got out of college; but generally laptops aren't very user friendly for upgrading RAM or really any of the internals iirc.

Both my Gateway MP8708 and ASUS QL550F have a large panel on the bottom that allows you to remove everything but the motherboard. Most laptops I've seen are pretty simple to remove common components like RAM and hard drives. But then again I don't buy HP or Dell laptops either sooo.
ASUS has the tendency on some of their models to have 1 stick integrated to the motherboard, and one one DIMM slot.

I've always had either HP or Gateways that have been hard to open up. My HPs were also Vista computers with tiny fan slots, so.. yeah... high quality stuff right there...
ASUS has the tendency on some of their models to have 1 stick integrated to the motherboard, and one one DIMM slot.
Apparently my ASUS has 2 out of 4 DIMM slots according to CPU-Z. There are two DIMM's where you expect under the access panel. I'm not sure if that's legit or just some UEFI weirdness. I mean there could be two more hiding under the keyboard. :v:

Or in the case of an ROG I once had to upgrade all 4 DIMMs for, they had 3 under the access panel, and one underneath the keyboard/metal part, so you had to completely disassemble the laptop to get to just the 4th slot. WAS THAT FUCKING NECESSARY ASUS?!?
I solved my Battlefield 4 issue by downloading and installing the same drivers I had on my rig when I first got it (August 2014 to be more accurate, so version 340.52 to be exact) Now even my Steam popups are back to being smooth. I'm actually getting consistent 150+ FPS (even some peaks at 200). To those more familiar with BF4, there is an in-game option that shows how hard the game is taxing your hardware, enabled by typing PerfOverlay.DrawGraph 1 (similiar to net_graph >1) My CPU usage now sits at a factor of 13 constantly, and I see no spikes in it. Usage percentages in MSI are just as I reported earlier on in the thread (so 55% circa per core) I still don't understand how could Nvidia fuck up so bad though. I wasn't the only one with this issue with some of the recent drivers
Does anyone know why Firefox started scrolling in very big jumps? [t]http://i.imgur.com/JDoKvWP.png[/t] scrolling down once becomes [t]http://i.imgur.com/Xzvkt2i.png[/t] It used to scroll in little increments and I'm not sure what changed that. Using Nightly.
Windows mouse settings?
Windows mouse settings?
Nothing changed there
Decades. Like the GPU will become massively obsolete or die before the LED's die/deteriorate. [editline]22nd February 2015[/editline] Have you tried command+S on startup? That supposedly boots into single user mode.
I tried that and it won't boot because one of the critical system files needs to be renamed. Is there a version of linux for power pc?
Getting this issue when playing dvds in vlc it skips and will freeze and the message error is this ES_OUT_SET_(GROUP_)PCR is called too late any way to fix it?
I just got an SSD 128 GB, my current HDD OS partition is 146 GB (100 Used, can be cleared up to use 70 easily). How would I go about migrating to SSD without need to: Install OS, Install .NET, Java, Flash, Codecs and all that bullshit, Configure system env. variables, And pretty much other stuff that needs to get done. Is there literally a way to just: 1) Insert SSD, 2) Shadow the used space from my HDD OS Partition 3) Turn on PC as normal but now it boots from SSD without a hassle or any warnings. Is that possible? Thanks.

Apparently I can't get it to boot into SSD now that I cloned it, tried disabling other drives. Then opened case and tried unplugging all Drives. Also tried swapping SATA slots with original OS hdd, none works. Guess I will just go fresh [editline]26th February 2015[/editline] Oh god I am so hyped up, I just now found out that my college has bought/has deal with Microsoft for Dreamspark Premium products, which entitles any student to free copy of any Windows (including 8.1 Pro and 10 Tech and most likely 10 when it comes out), MS Office, Visual Studio and pretty much any other MS software there exists. Installing Win 8.1 now. Also, on a side note - Will 8.1 Users receive free upgrade to Win 10?
Also, on a side note - Will 8.1 Users receive free upgrade to Win 10?
Yes, this has been common knowledge for a few months now. All Windows 7 (can't remember if this was proven or not), 8, and 8.1 users will be allowed to upgrade to Windows 10 for free when it is released.

Good that I discovered this before I graduated (in 3 months)
Now that I am proud user of Win 8.1, I have few questions: 1) I installed Classic Shell (As suggested by Internet), how can I make it show desktop by default when I login into my user? Right now I see that metro themed screen with floating boxes. 2) Why the hell is there two task bars + two start menu buttons on both of my monitors? :v: 3) Also, not a problem for me but just out of curiosity: How come without nvidia drivers the Win 8.1 doesn't detect 2nd monitor like Win 7 did even when clicking Detect in Res Options?

Right click taskbar, properties, Navigation, "When I sign in or close all apps go to desktop". 2) This is a feature added as of Windows 8. It was a commonly requested thing for Microsoft to implement for at least a decade and they finally bothered to do it. 3) Gonna be honest, no idea.
