I have an ASUS all-in-one, and I don't have the money for a new pc
They may have a soft cap in place hence throttling occurring. But I guess if it's been going on for 3 weeks it's something more.
I'd really ring up and harass them.
I think it's a soft cap, as around the same time the problem started, i was watching shitloads of stuff on netflix. I'm gonna wait until the end of my billing period, which is in 2 days before wasting any time bitching at them. If it isn't fixed by then, I'll call them up.
So a guy from my church gave me a evga nvidia geforce gtx 550 ti, but its too big for my pc. Should I keep it or sell it?
I've sold the 1gb version for $90 before on ebay. 2GB could get even more. If you need the cash, it's out there.
Hey so my workplace now restricts Pandora just by domain, I'm sorry I don't have too much info, I'll pay attention next time (I don't use Pandora, someone else asked me), but any ideas how to get around it? Preferably lightweight/not having to install software.
We have access to Chrome and IE, maybe but I don't recall seeing it firefox.
ping says pandora's IP is 208.85.40.20
try http://208.85.40.20/ and see if that works

I'll try that in ~14 hours and get back with more info hopefully, thanks
Do the specs of my PC effect how well it plays games on my HDTV as opposed to my monitor?
I've just set up my PC with my TV and everything outside of games runs flawlessly, and lower end games such as Mount & Blade run fine. But as soon as I boot up a game like STALKER Lost Alpha or Payday 2 I get massive input lag (like, 1-2 seconds) that makes the game completely unplayable. Is this more likely to be an issue with my TV settings, or is my computer somehow just not up to it? (everything is running in 1080p, and was doing so with no issues on my regular monitor. I'm running the TV in game mode and everything. I tried using the DVI input rather than the HDMI and that didn't make any difference.
Never mind. Fixed it.
Turns out I was being a massive idiot and plugging my TV into the motherboard rather than the discrete graphics so it was trying to use my integrated graphics.
In my defence my GPU has the stupidest outputs ever though (two DVI and one mini HDMI)
You think that's stupid?
EVGA 750 TI
1 DVI, 1 DP 1 HDMI.
WHERES ME 2ND DVI?
Within the display port

Why is it hard for me to find a monitor with display port daisy chain?

Because that's a high-end feature. You're probably looking at reasonably-priced or budget models.
Assuming you're looking for a 1080p display, this is probably the best you'll find. It's rather hard to go wrong with an UltraSharp.
Do y'all think I'd be alright using a SATA power splitter to power a 3tb 5900rpm Seagate NAS drive and a Crucial M4 SSD?

I wasn't so much looking at budget, It's just something I geniunly couldn't find.
It's either I daisy chain, or grab a hub and multistream
So i got a GTX660 and buying a HDMI to a VGA adapter thingamajig to hook onto a old monitor so i have two of them.
Is there anything i need to know?
Also first time that i am going to use more than a monitor so how does the 'Mouse to other monitor thing work'
It becomes an extension of the desktop, you literally move your mouse to the left/right hand side of the monitor and it seamlessly goes onto the other one.
Hey guys, my laptop is crazy and, when it goes on standby when I close the lid, a few minutes later it jolts back up with no user input or opening the lid back. The same thing happens if I put it on standby or even hibernation manually. This doesn't happen if I shut down the computer. Any ideas?
It's a Toshiba Tecra constantly on AC Power, on a legitimate Windows XP SP3. The mouse isn't faulty so it can't be jittering for any reason whatsoever. Same thing with the touchpad. WLAN is always off and I use a wired connection because it doesn't slow down every 5 seconds.

Check the Event Viewer and see if there are any Power related events. Sometimes it will indicate what woke up the system, whether its a service or device.

I've got a really odd error. If I put steam in my taskbar and launch it from there it automatically starts sven co-op. Doesn't matter how I add it, it always does the same.
I tried removing it and adding it from the steam folder, no dice. Tried starting steam and pinning the program that way but nope, still does the same.
It's as if something went wrong in my registry.
Any ideas on what could fix this?

Right click it, right click the Steam icon in the jump list (the one above "unpin"), properties (may need to hold Shift when right clicking)
make sure that the shortcut doesn't have anything after Steam.exe in the location box

Hey that worked, thank you! It was set to launch sven co-op oddly enough.
Is there an easier way to find out what country a YouTube video is not blocked in? There's gotta be something simpler and faster than tediously and repeatedly switching to the next country down the list with Hola! and refreshing the page only to be met with the same error, right?

Anything I should change? Budget is 100 dollars
Uhm, should I worry? The default max clock for my CPU(Athlon 64 X2 5600+) should be 2900MHz. :tinfoil:

This was after playing a round of War Thunder. Also I think the temperature sensor is fucked, one time my CPU reached 130°C and my PC shut itself down, shouldn't it already do this at 90°C?
I'm also using an Alpenföhn Sella heatsink, which should be more than enough for that old CPU. Also re-applied it several times now, to make sure I didn't use too much/less thermal paste, but the changes weren't that much.
Uhhh
Tried using HWmonitor and core temp and compare those?
I really highly doubt that's anything but accurate.
I'll try those the next time I'm gonna play War Thunder and notice my CPU fan boosting up like hell, but I remember that I used to use HWmonitor and had the same problem earlier last year.
After 2 test flights I got this:

I'm thinking that the weird CPU clock could be a cool n quiet related problem. Another big problem is that my PC used to be a Dell Inspiron 531 and still uses that motherboard, there's like zero configuration in the BIOS, so I can't even set the PWM fan speeds manually or such.
Is it normal for the BIOS to show 4096 MB of total memory, but only 4078 MB of usable memory?
Even if it's not integrated video, the BIOS and/or kernel (not entirely sure which) reserves a small amount of RAM for its own purposes and doesn't even tell userspace that RAM exists.
I can't tell you what for if not integrated video but it's probably important, and it's only a small amount anyway on modern systems.
I discovered Asus AI Suite 3's turbo mod for cpu Turbov Evo. I have i5 4690 3.5Ghz and this auto tune makes it 3.9, should I use it ? Are there any disadvantages ?

Auto overclocking things are usually horseshit. They usually don't balance things out well, and crank up the voltage way beyond what it needs to be.
So, I've been wondering. Nvidia driver doesn't list my GPU anymore as it's a GTX 780. Is there any point in me updating anymore? Beside Gforce experience tweaks?

Are these values normal ?
