Honestly getting 95C with prime95 is expected. It's a synthetic test. I would probably step back the voltage till it becomes unstable and see how your temps are
a better cooler would be better if you plan on keeping that over clock
I'll give that a shot

another thing, is this considered high idle temps for the evo 212? I don't know the ambient temperature unfortunately, but I'd guess somewhere around 20-25c. I remember the temperatures being a lot lower back when I first got the cooler so I wonder if I should re-apply my thermal paste. its been roughly a year since the cooler was bought

Those temperatures seem to be higher than they should be even with with overclock. Try re-applying thermal paste for sure.
I'm building my first gaming pc in about a week when I get all the parts. Now I've been really confused about how to adjust the fans.
The case is a Nzxt H440 with stock fans and a H100i. I found this picture which seems reasonable, but a lot of other people say to have the radiator under the top fans instead, does it even make a big difference?

I'm a fan of positive pressure. If it were my setup, I'd have it like that picture but flip the fans on the H100i.

Your voltage is way too high. Drop it and multiplier back to stock and up the multi to to 42 then up the voltage until it doesn't crash in 0.01 increments. I had a stable 4.1ghz OC with 1.08 vcore with the same processor. Gonna go through the trouble to get it at 4.4ghz eventually, or even 4.5.

Yeah I can get my 4670k at 4.4ghz 1.17v, but 4.6 has to bump to 2.25 volts. 4.7ghz is only semi stable at 1.35v.
So, I was pulling a hard drive out of my computer to replace it with another when:
[t]http://i.cubeupload.com/bEQ5SF.jpg[/t]
I pulled it past too far and managed to nick one of my tubes on my AIO liquid cooler (specifically the NZXT x61). I checked it when it booted up and it's not leaking, and it doesn't feel that 'deep' to maybe affect it. Though I am a bit paranoid so my question is how resilient are these tubes? and how deep does it need to cut to actually get into the inside of a tube?

Ok. So only the single back fan is pushing air out and the H100i fans pulls cold air from the outside through the radiator?

Yes.
Anyone have an idea of the gaming performance of the Microsoft Surface 3 (not pro) is?
I saw on the commercial a scene of Minecraft running on it and found that to be intriguing. I've also been contemplating getting a cheap computer to run older games, Source games, low demand games, and adventure games like Walking Dead or Monkey Island.

It's sporting a Intel Atom SoC
And Intel's Atom series is a tier beneath Celerons, so both the CPU and GPU part is designed with power saving and cool running in mind.
Frankly it's meant for typical home and office use, so no games except 'casual' or older is gonna run well on it (if they're compatible with win8.1 / win10).
guys my connection is spiking like crazy and only on my pc, it's been happening for days now and i have no clue why, on win8 and win10
speedtests like this

when usually its something like this

it's extremely annoying, sometimes it only affects my downloads whereas sometimes it affects everything. it's happening on my win10 install and my win8 install.
as i post this speedtest.net is giving me 23ms/5mbps down and 1mbps up, but mediafire is giving me speeds like this:

I have a Surface Pro 1 and I can run CS:GO on medium settings, I play a lot of Broforce and Hotline Miami on it too.
It'll chew through your battery though.
Though I am a bit paranoid so my question is how resilient are these tubes? and how deep does it need to cut to actually get into the inside of a tube?
I'm no expert, but a cheap repair for that could be a patch kit for bicycles, seeing as they're sealing the bicycle tubes air-tight, I guess they're also liquid proof.
Then again I have no idea how much a new tube would cost, those patch kits usually go for less than $5.

Thanks, you have already helped me so much. I decided since I got the budget I might as well replace the stock fans on the Nzxt h440 and H100i.

Installing the 3 AF120 infront, the AF140 in the back and the 2 SP120 (PWM) to replace the stock H100i fans.
Would I be able to adjust fan RPM with the added motherboard?
Not sure where this belongs but does anyone know how I'd go about getting a video on my website's background that's light on bandwith (but HD), autoplays, loops and fills the screen.

The biggest issue with the guide is that every motherboard words things completely differently, so it tried to be nonspecific enough while getting really in depth. Too bad you don't have VT-D so I can remote into your bios, haha. Set CPU Core and Ring voltage to 1.2 for now. Try different ratios starting at 40 and move up until you crash. On the last stable one, move the voltage down .05 until you crash, and stick with the last stable voltage. You can move up from there, but I wouldn't with a 212 EVO. You also have roughly the third best motherboard for overclocking in the entire Z87 lineup. I'm jealous.

Those fans are alright. The SP120 high performance are loud though. I've got 3 on my 360mm rad. As for adjusting the fan RPM, that all depends on how many fan headers are on the board.

should I move both CPU Ring and CPU Core voltage down by .05 or only the core voltage? I wasn't able to set the CPU Ring voltage to 1.2, it only let me put 1.199.

highest stable I was able to get at 1.2V. much better than the previous 4.2 which reached 100c, this 4.3 goes only to a max of 72c under load! almost tempting to try a little higher voltage to see if I'm able to get 4.4 or 4.5 while keeping temps under 80c
4.3 @ 1.2v is still not very good at all though. Granted it might be the chip. Feel free to go up to 1.3. You can usually get up to 1.35 for safe voltage, but I wouldn't with your cooler. Also for ring ratio, try keeping it at 40. It has almost zero performance impact, and can help get your CPU ratio up higher. I've never overclocked with a modern MSI board, so some of these options are confusing.

thanks for the help! I'm sure I could squeeze out 4.6GHz but it'd leave me in 80c+ territory by the looks of it which I'm not too comfortable with. fairly happy with this, feels like an okay OC though I don't have much to compare with
I mean I usually sit at 4.4ghz. 4.6 is the highest I can comfortably hit anyways. Looks good though. That stress test isn't the best though, so if you start crashing or anything in games, just bump the voltage or lower the clock.

Do like 10 loops, 8 threads, normal priority and let it go overnight. Watch the temps for a little bit first though.

download the video to your hard drive, convert it to WMV if it isn't already, then go look up a DreamScene enabler for Win7.
I accidentally put my mother's 32gb usb through the wash. I left it to dry over night and tried it again. It worked, I tried copying some movies to it and some of them went on then suddenly it stopped and now it says "disk is write protected".
I can't put stuff on there, I can't delete stuff and I can't use the repair tool. Do I have to buy a new one or can this be fixed?
How do I remove mal\adware from my digiland tabelet?
anyone know a good pdf recovery/repair program?
I scanned a sheet for someone on a bulky office scanner on a usb but I think it encrypted it or some shit, and now it opens as a corrupt pdf.
It might work when I plug it back into the same scanner but this encryption stuff makes no sense.

Is there a switch somewhere on the device, if there is flick it the other way. I'm thinking you've accidentally switched on read only

Damn, it actually managed to fix my USB3.0 Kingston drive that went tits up after trying to turn it into a windows 7 install USB.
And all the other utilities I tried (including kingstons own) couldn't fix it.
This is some bigtime wizardry.
