I accidentally put my mother's 32gb usb through the wash. I left it to dry over night and tried it again. It worked, I tried copying some movies to it and some of them went on then suddenly it stopped and now it says "disk is write protected". I can't put stuff on there, I can't delete stuff and I can't use the repair tool. Do I have to buy a new one or can this be fixed?
Warranty? I had a similar problem except mine wasn't washed, and the manufacturer is sending me a new one.
After hearing people talking about ssds and how great they are, I finally got one myself. People claimed it would be easy to use it. Just plug it in and go. But nope, not for me. Taken all night but now I have windows on the ssd. But now I can't use my 1TB hdd anymore and it seems like my mobo is too shit to do both an ssd and an hdd despite the bios detecting both. Welp. I have an Asus P6T Deluxe v2, it doesn't make sense, it should work. Why wouldn't it. Why would my mobo have 6 sata ports if it can't handle an ssd and an hdd? I guess to have several hdds only.. I have no idea what to do. I really want to use this ssd but if it means that I'm stuck with 250gb storage then I can't install anything before it fills up.
I might want to upgrade my 460 GT as I'm replacing my monitor. I just want something that can use a HDMI port, can play games the 460 can at higher res (Such as 1920 x 1080), and is fairly inexpensive. Under £200 if possible (As much as possible!). Don't care if it's Nvidia or ATI.
Yay, turns out I just had to format it. I can use my ssd and hdd now! :D
Perhaps try some other repair tools
well they kept crashing but they fucked the data on the usb and I was able to reformat after replugging it so all is well.
I was thinking of Overclocking my CPU to get a performance increase without spending money on anything. This is my current CPU : Which I'm running with a Nvidia 970 (which I'm pretty sure comes overclocked out of the box) and 8gb of RAM. Most recent games run at 30 to 40 fps and I think it's due to the CPU itself. Anyone got some guidelines or links ? Googling gives me nothing because it prioritizes French websites and almost all French websites that appear in search results are either outdated or fucking packed to death with phishing links. Moreover, should I rather overclock my GPU if it isn't already ?
I'm currently running a 1GB Radeon HD 7850. It's not quite cutting it on new games though, especially noticeable with GTA V (have to run at a lower resolution with a lot of stuff on normal). I don't know if I should get something now or wait for even better stuff to come out that's cheap, since I don't want to spend any more than $250 on a card. I have a 600w power supply and I do not want to replace it right now. Any recommendations for good budget cards that would give me some nicer results, or should I just wait?
How do I remove mal\adware from my digiland tablet?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.malwarebytes.antimalware I don't know if it's as good as the desktop version, but who knows if it will work. Start by uninstalling applications which look fishy to you, and proceed by letting Malwarebytes perform a scan.
-snip thanks google-
Ill try it that the format doesn't have the same as a PC. so I cant just click on them and uninstall.
I moved around some shit from the windows folder Installer I think it was, moved it back though Still many .exes just crash instead of starting Fault Module Name: KERNELBASE.dll if that helps with anything [editline]14th April 2015[/editline] also some 2 weird nameless files appeared on my desktop after restarting and also there's suddenly a "system reserved" G: disk Nvm I just formated
Do I absolutely have to have wireless bridging support on both routers, or just the "client" router? I can't find a button for bridging on the ISP router, and I need this other router I have to connect to it. "Plug an ethernet cable into it" is unfortunately not an option.
What do the cool kids use these days now that TrueCrypt is no longer supported?
Haven't got home to see it for myself, but the 700w PSU I had for 3 years died and I was looking to go up to a 750w. Is there a huge quality difference between Corsair and EVGA in the 700-750w range? I mean just looking around there doesn't seem to be much difference but I have never shopped for a psu before.
Alright, so after doing some searching, I think I've found a new GPU to shoot for. This is what I have now. This is what I'm looking at. Any opinions or experiences with the new card? How much would it increase performance over what I have now? Enough to justify $200?

None of those are really good. I'd go with this one. 620 is more than enough unless you're running 2 high power GPU's. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-s12ii620bronze
Thanks for the advice.
How underpowered is my machine? I can't even play GTA: V, well I can but it has to be 800x600. What do I need to upgrade? [t]http://i.imgur.com/PBmgNqQ.png[/t]

[t]http://i.imgur.com/PBmgNqQ.png[/t]
You aren't serious, are you? Either you've got hardware failure or a software issue if you can't play GTA V on anything less than medium at 1080p.
You aren't serious, are you? Either you've got hardware failure or a software issue if you can't play GTA V on anything less than medium at 1080p.
I'm being serious. The moment I put at 1080p the game chugs and lags. The highest I can go without that is 720p, and I still have problems. Oddly enough, almost anyone that has a problem has the same card as me.

Latest drivers, no other game has issues.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/PBmgNqQ.png[/t]
I have the exact same CPU and GPU and I can run it near max at 1080p 60fps, you probably have some kind of hardware issue or driver issue. Have you tried the new drivers Nvidia made for GTAV? http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/83819/en-us
Yes, I have.
Running windowed fullscreen?
Hey, so i've been trying to play GTA V and keep getting a bsod and when i check event viewer the only constant thing is event code 41 and 15 (15 being the disk is not ready for access) my specs are http://speccy.piriform.com/results/vptZPj1CF8dG4J7DMghM5x3 (my HDD is currently unplugged for troubleshooting purposes) i was thinking my gpu was overheating at first but i had a temperature monitor for everything on my second screen while playing and nothing raised above normal temperatures when the crash happened. is my gpu draining power from everything else and making the other parts fail or do you think my psu is bad? this is really irritating me i even ran chkdsk on all of my drives and they came back clean. [editline]14th April 2015[/editline] this is also on a clean install of windows that i did earlier today [editline]14th April 2015[/editline] also have a 500w power supply (thermaltake tr2 500w)
So I've been uninstalling my Nvidia drivers, and a new one pops up after every installation! I uninstall 344.11, then 337.xx shows up in my uninstall list! Are these just ones I've forgotten to uninstall? Should I uninstall them all before installing the latest ones, or does it matter? Cause apparently I've had 3 drivers installed at once so far.
A lot of people I know suggest that you use DDU to do a full wipe of your display drivers before you install the latest version.

Show us your settings.
Only thing running in the background is Steam and Origin. Got it working on a bigger resolution, but it lags now and then.
