Case fans are rather inefficient at cooling a radiator though. You don't need cubic airflow, you need static pressure.
Well shit. Okay. Got any recommendations then? I'll go shopping in the morning.

Y'know funny thing, I switched out the fans anyway with my old case fans and not only is it a few decibels quieter (still loud tho), it's also about 2 degrees cooler on average.

Get the Noctua NF-F12 fans, they push a lot of air at a high pressure without sounding like a vacuum motor running on mains. Sorta pricey, but they're worth it.

The F series really isn't great for rads it's a case fan, pushing air doesn't matter that much.
[editline]30th April 2015[/editline]
The Noctua P12 series, Silverstone FM121, and Antec Truequiet Pro are all top picks on performance/sound, the Noiseblocker ELoops are a really common pick for rads though, reasonable on price and come in all sorts of RPM variants.

These ones? Their names differ a bit.

Yes, though the antec doesn't look like the correct one...
What do the cool kids use for GPU fan control these days? The computer in question uses a GT 220

Afterburner? I dunno. My GPU doesn't have fans.
Technically not a hardware issue, but how can i go about contacting HP for a warranty return? My HP laptop shit the bed earlier (multiple BSODs and colored static on the screen) and i can't find it in their warranty database.
Alright, I can't seem to work google on this one.
I've got a Corsair 850W and I recently bought a power-usage-meter. Now my question is, when gaming my power draw is around 750-780w with occasional peaks @ 880w. Will running like this kill the power supply sooner? Or will this damage my 290X's because they could possibly get power starved?

Christ, what rig are you running? Also the amount of power that is drawn from the wall is not the amount being delivered, this is where 80+ efficient ratings come into play. Say your rig is drawing 500w internally at a 90% efficiency. That'll be 550w from the wall. That 50 extra watts is then dissipated as heat, hence why PSU's get hot and have fans, but don't necessarily have to use those fans under smaller % loads.

You have multiple 290x's?
So I have a Note 4. I went to a concert Saturday, recorded a few videos. They don't have sound at all? I recorded a video later and it has sound, videos from before have sound? Does it have like a mic protection from maybe it was far to loud or something? anything I am missing?
Not at all, I held it different at all times as far as I'm concern.
I've got a question regarding resolutions. It's becoming too much of an issue to play all of my games at their highest settings with 1440p included, and I'd like to go back to using 1080p. My issue is though, whenver I'm not running at my native resolution (2560 x 1440) the screen becomes incredibly washed out, namely in the blacks. Is there a way around this? Or do I have to switch back to my 1080p monitor?
Cheers!
I seriously need help fixing the smudging issue with my monitor. I don't know if its the monitor or the PC.
How can I figure out if I need a new monitor or not.
Anyone knows how to get Hirens Boot working with Easy2Boot?

Are you on an AMD card?
If yes, switch to 1920x1080 on the desktop, then open CCC, go to My Digital Flat-Panels -> Pixel Format, and make sure it's set to Full RGB. You might have to update your drivers for the option to appear.

Snip, wrong thread
Are Thermaltake power supplies any good? I might get one to replace my dead PSU.

There not bad. I reccomend EVGA PSU'S though.

Specifically the SuperNOVA G series EVGA PSUs are good. The absolute best in all regards are Seasonic PSUs though.
So my 5 year old laptop took a spill on it, and naturally some keys went dead. However a lot of keys are doing completely different things like opening up menus.
I got an external keyboard, the dead keys work on it, but the fucked up ones are still fucked up. Any ideas? Did I screw up something fierce?

Not the G1 series though. G2 and GS are great ones. Best PSU's are actually some Delta's.

something like the FN key is probably shorted.

That'd even fuck up external keyboards? I was able to delete my keyboard drivers, and then the keyboard worked again bar the shorted keys (external worked perfectly) but when I restarted the issue came back. Now deleting the drivers doesn't do jack.

You'd need to physically unplug the built-in keyboard for it to stop.
And unless it's a old & cheapass laptop or low-production count laptop, then you might as well replace the keyboard while you're at it.

I've got two.
I'm running a FX9350 and two 290x's.
Does anyone know a good way to stream media to a LG smart tv from a PC, currently I'm using Universal Media Server which has worked fairly well but with some really high quality 1080p files it stutters a lot, I have a great router, both the tv and my PC are plugged into it with a cable.
So I connected my Playstation 1 with my PC via the composite input of my tv tuner card and when I open up MPC-HC and open it, I can see the Playstation menu if I switch from composite input to tuner input, however it's only for a blink of a second and then switches to static. If I keep it on composite all I get is a grey screen and now I'm clueless as to why it's only shown once I switch from composite input to tuner.
