Would the MX Master be a good mouse for gaming?
I know its wireless but does that really matter that much if I'm not playing in eSports and shit?
I only ever play CSGO in Competitive and other FPS games

It's pretty overpriced for what you wanna do, also wireless is not really acceptable when playing FPS games. Take a look at a Mionix Naos or a Razer Deathadder.
Should I be worried if I see this in MSI afterburner?

I don't actually have a 2nd card, just a 970.
Do you have your Intel HD integrated graphics running?
Yeah, I didn't disable it in the device manager or anything, but I don't have anything plugged in for it. Both monitors are running off of the dedicated.

I have a Deathadder at the moment but the scroll click is broken so I want a new mouse.
I duno I sort of wanted a wireless just for ease of use and stuff. How big of a difference would it make having a wireless for gaming?

Depending on a few factors, the signal strength may not be the best and that can result in some milliseconds of input lag. However I can only talk from my own experience, which was at my parents flat, where they got steel beam supported walls, you basically have to stick your phone to the windows to get any mobile signal.
Depending on a few factors, the signal strength may not be the best and that can result in some milliseconds of input lag.
They're really not nearly as bad as they used to be though. When you factor in server ping, monitor input delay and response time, human response time, polling rates, etc, it isn't bad.
Right now I noticed my AMD A10-6800K isn't pushing it anymore.
At any Source game my CPU usage is on 60% average, and at least once in a minute it tends to spike to 100%, which causes really annoying framedrops. So right now I'm considering making the switch to Intel, but I can't decide between a i5 and i7. I suppose with an i7 I have the benefit of hyperthreading, so I can set the affinity of compile tools better without freezing my whole system, but I don't know if performance is actually better.
I'm mostly doubting because I also do CPU intensive tasks like compiling with Hammer, and maybe in the near future modelling once I get my head around it.
So now I want to know, should I grab an i7, or is an i5 good enough? This is the first time I want to make the step to Intel so I kinda need a hand with this.
No steel beams in my house as far as I'm aware. Is there any other good mouses you would recommend? Preferably wireless for games

Also, how would the walls have any effect on a wireless mouse signal? You probably don't have the mouse in a different room as the sensor.
How concerned should I be about my laptop with a i7-3610qm cpu is running at an idle temp of 69-75 Celsius?
When I'm pushing it hard, it goes up to about 94 Celsius...
I have cleaned it for dust, and I have a laptop cooler below it.
Is there anything else I can do?
Very concerned.
Mobile processors are designed to run at high temperatures because of the restrictive conditions of their cooling, but your i7 should be idling much cooler than that especially with a laptop cooler, so that definitely is an issue. Is it really these temperatures? It is possible you are getting faulty readings. Download HWMonitor and check your CPU temps with that because it's one of the most accurate programs for reporting temperatures.
If it is really that hot, you might want to consider contacting the manufacturer to see if you can send it in to them to see if they can do anything about it.
If you aren't under warranty, you might want to try reapplying the thermal paste between the CPU and the cooler. Although that would require opening your laptop and putting laptops back together can be tedious, and if you screw it up you have to go through the process again, so I recommend trying to contact your manufacturer first.

or i might be wrong who knows
Don't know if this falls under a "quick question," but I am looking to buy a VDS and am trying to choose between 2 companies, Online.net and NFOServers. What I am wanting to use the server for is seeding my vast collection of Linux distros, maybe compressing shit, running an apache server, and probably a single game server (for which game, I haven't decided yet). So, which is better? I know that the Avoton is low-end compared to a Xeon, but will it really make a difference for what I am wanting to do?
Online.net:
-~$18.20 a month, ~$22 setup fee on first month
-Intel Avoton C2750
-8GB DDR3 RAM
-1TB SATA3
-200mbps guaranteed, can get up to 1gbps, unmetered bandwidth.
-Allows seeding
-Unfortunately, hosted in Paris, but I wouldn't be hosting a game server for anything that's really competitive.
NFOServers:
-$20 a month
-Intel Xeon E5-2690
-2GB DDR3 RAM
-200GB hard drive
-8TB bandwidth
-Doesn't allow seeding, AFAIK

Can it be renamed locally?
Yes, it's an online profile
This might be a dumb question, but is there a way to bind a key on a keyboard using AutoHotkey or some other program to restart your display adapter?
I'm having an issue in GTAV where if I raise my settings too high, even though the computer can run it at a solid framerate without overheating, eventually the display driver crashes and then "recovers" but in actuality my display is just solid black even though the game and computer are running fine in the background. Since I can't see anything I can't just restart the device via Device Manager.
A lot of people are having the same issue with similar cards and setups so I'm assuming it's a driver/game bug, and the only way I can fix it is by lowering the settings but it pisses me off that the game runs fine on high settings but the display crashes. I'd like to know if even restarting the display adapter would at least let me able to see Windows without having to restart the computer.

make a batch script or whatever, bind the key to run the file
make a batch script or whatever, bind the key to run the file
Thanks, I can probably Google what commands to use in the batch script to disable the display device and re-enable it. I hope. Will get on it tomorrow and see how it goes. Thanks again.
What is a good computer that you guys would recommend me for gaming?
I'm looking for a home computer btw.

if you don't want to build your own then use ibuypower or a brazilian equivalent
you're always going to pay more for less going down that route but if money isn't the issue and you're not interested in the building process you might as well be able to customize your pc at least a little
[editline]8th May 2015[/editline]
just know that most any CPU will be fine, get at least 8GB of RAM but you might as well as go for 16 most any type of RAM will be fine as well, a GTX 970 will get you through most anything and you really don't need much more than unless you're trying to play at 4k

make it atleast a quad core cpu though
I have a windows phone that I want to be able to control and view from my desktop. Is there a program available that does that?
Hello, long story short, malwarebytes blocks outbound connections to my skype.exe (Russia, Ukraine, Egypt, you name it), but now it detected an inbound, proxy connection to skype.exe. I am really terrified, this PC is used by various members of my family and I have to keep it clean, can anyone recommend something to do? please?
First timer with SLI here. Got dual 970 cards in SLI with a Gigabyte bridge and a 750w EVGA SuperNOVA G2 PSU. I can't launch Metro Last Light Redux without the driver crashing and GTA V has severe graphical glitches in fullscreen mode. The cards are identical aside from the production run. Anyone know of anything i can do? I've already totally reinstalled the drivers to no effect. So far KF2 works without any flaws, as well as Kerbal Space Program.

Dammit I knew my lack of knowledge about computers would get me someday.

Actually I have been trying to run games on a Asus laptop but the Fps issues I'm having are really getting on my nerves. Not exactly sure if it's my computer's fault alone thought since my internet is in a real shitty state of affairs right now. Been thinking about buying a PC because most people say it's better for running games like Battlefield and Payday 2.
I was just not sure which PC to buy since I'm pretty lackluster with my computer facts.

Can I put a GTX 750 Ti, in place of the 6770 HD without having to change PSU (460w Corsair)?
Just about to walk over to PC World and buy it, just wanted to double check here first.

Yeah, should work no problem power wise. What 750ti and what PCIe power plugs does your PSU have?

I'd definitely go for the 960, and the 960 only takes 1 6 pin power so you should be good to go.

My PSU has 1 6pin Connection and the 960 I just bought has a 8pin connection and a 2x 6pin to 1x 8pin connector :( time to go get a new PSU then?

Darn, I couldn't seem to find any good pictures of the power input, but I read a post that said it just needs a 6 pin and I took their word for it. Your psu really only has a single 6 pin? You could do molex to 6 pin, then 2 6 pin to 8 pin, but I really wouldn't recommend that.
