Hmm, at least with GTAIV it would not allow settings that would go above the VRAM predictions, but 3gb should be fine. Try setting all other settings to lowest, then changing the resolution.

I'll take a look.

Singleplayer seems to of handled it fine, will check online now.
UK PEOPLE
How do you rate PC Specialist?
I want a decent gaming laptop but all the pre-built ones from amazon and shit are pathetic.
Just want to know if the PC Specialist (or other sites you recommend that ship to the UK) are actually worth the price they give you.
Thanks!
I agree, but not arctic silver. There are just too many other alternatives with the performance that don't have the risks.
[editline]10th June 2015[/editline]
What CPU is it, by the way?
It's not a risk with Arctic Silver, it's not conductive but can create interference if any gets near a PCB trace. The reason why AS is shit is the 200+ hour cure time. I suggest Arctic MX-4 (not the same company as Arctic Silver), as it's cheap-ish, completely non-metallica and non-conductive, and has a very short cure time.
With a Corsair H100i and some MX-4, I maintain a 28-32C idle at RT, and never go above 70C with a 4.2ghz OC'd i5 4690K.
I have one of those Samsung SSDs. It used to be really good but lately I've noticed folders load quite slow.
I don't know if its a problem with the SSD or some of the other hard drives.
I have like other HDDs, but my OS is on the SSD so I would assume most stuff related to the OS should be fast.
For example, the Recycling bin can take a while to open some times

The risk is that is does have the ability to basically melt and fuck shit up. Cases of it are all over the internet, and I've seen it twice myself. It can completely ruin boards.
I'm looking to sell this laptop with these specifications, but it has a broken keyboard, how much can I get out of it? I'm guessing like $150?
I'm going to college soon, and I want to bring the power of my desktop with me. I've been looking at micro ATX boards/cases, and some of the hardware I'd like to carry over from my old desktop is my r9 290.
Any suggestions for bringing decently powerful hardware in a small as possible form factor?

The smallest case that I've seen that allows for a GPU would be the Azza Z. It's a bit tacky looking but it has space for a single PCIe GPU while being only a bit bigger than the original Xbox 360. It's mini-ITX, so some options as far as motherboards go is going to be limited, but you can use a normal ATX PSU with it.
The space is a problem and the drive cage is a total bastard to work around, but I have built one with a Pentium G3258 and a reference cooler GTX 670 (leftover from a previous build) that was for my dad's birthday. Cooling is a bit of an issue, but it does have mounting points for AIO water cooling radiators.
If you can fit it on a mini-ITX mobo and the GPU is short enough, you can have the power of a $2000 PC in something that fits on a shelf.. I've seen some GTX 980 and i7 4790K builds out there with that case. It does feel a bit cheap, but it's alright for what it does.
There's also more cube-like ITX cases that exist, but those are probably double the size of the Azza Z.

Just a picture showing only the CPU and amount of RAM doesn't say much. What brand? What model? IPS or TN? Resolution? Discrete or integrated GPU? There are way too many factors outside of what you showed.
For a 5 year old laptop, I'd guess you'd get barely anything out of it.
Does anyone know of a reputable program for taking music off an iPod/iPhone for PC? My friends that have Mac's swear by senuti but it doesn't appear to exist for windows, and the sites I found with alternatives seem really sketchy and I don't really want to download their product, at least not without recommendation.
iirc winamp was really good for that, at least with non iOS devices but i don't know of a modern equivalent.
Do you guys think the new 390x will be a good competitor to the 980 TI? My GPU died and i'm endlessly debating about each card.

R9 300 will not be a new architecture, just old chips with more RAM and possibly higher clock rates. There's no way these will be able to compete with a 980 Ti, and they'll probably be priced far lower too.
Radeon Fury will be AMD's high end competitor, based on a new architecture, but unfortunately limited to 4GB VRAM, which is probably a bottleneck on a modern top-end card. But we will have to see.

I solved my own problem but wanted to put the solution here just in case someone ends up finding this in a search when trying to solve their own problem.
I used iExplorer. The free trial doesn't let you automatically import everything back into iTunes correctly formatted, but you can select all from the files on your phone and drag them to a folder on your computer. The transfer process took me about 10 minutes and most of the Titles/Artists kept the correct formatting. Out of just under 2,000 tracks just under 300 need some touching up with the titles/artist/albums etc.
Hope this post helps anyone stumbling onto it in the future.
Can someone help quick please? I'm pretty sure my power supply just died (literally heard it explode, fingers crossed it didn't take any other parts with it) and I need a replacement ASAP. Not sure what to get though. I have an AMD 280x, an intel i5 4440 and 12gb of ram. Need it to have a good performance to price ratio as I really can't break the bank with this (but I still want a good quality one, obviously).
Shipping wise I live in the UK and it needs to have next day delivery.
Thanks in advance!

Have anyone had this problem where Youtube doesn't log which videos you have watched? It's annoying me because it gives me some shitty recommendations

Whoa, I forgot that new player even existed. But no I haven't as of late.
Is this a sign of a dying graphics card? Haven't noticed anything like this in any other games yet, only CS:GO. Last time I updated my drivers were a few months ago.

Looks more like some corrupted files. Try validating the game cache.
It *might* be a dying graphics card, can't rule that out yet, but right now that doesn't seem like the most likely explanation.
You can validate it as much as ya like but stuff like this happens pretty much 95% of the time doesn't matter what the map is. Even I get it and so does many other people too :v: it's also a known bug too on their source sdk.
I've been playing plenty of GO lately, never once have I seen that. But I can recognize the effects of a corrupted DXT decode (first two images), and Source's "missing texture" placeholder (last image).

It only affects the HD with Windows installed on it.
Is there any way to drop all PC fans to 300 rpm for the night?
I have h100i and 2 case 3 pin case fans connected to it.
300 RPM isn't going to happen. With the exception of specific low RPM fans, 500 can't even be obtained correctly without resistors.

Yeah nvm, I realised why my PC is kinda loud, PSU fan causes most noise.
Tried searching.
