I definitely wouldn't trade my Q9550 for a dual.
My Q9300 works beautifully, wouldn't trade it for a dual core unless it was like two 20ghz.
Phenom II x4 955 looks pretty sexy.
Yea i would never trade my Q6600 for a dual core. Ever.

Dual cores aren't bad. I mean, they have better single and dual threaded performance vs their equivalent quad core, like an E8400 vs Q6600 but also factor in pricing. I mean, I don't really think you can say Quad cores perform better than duals in games unless the game fully uses 4 cores and there's not that many, except GTA 4 which really makes a difference, but if it's single or dual threaded, a dual core vs its quad core equivalent would perform slightly better. When you compare an E8400 to a Q9650 in a single or dual threaded game, the performance is pretty much the same. The 9650 though has 12MB of L2 cache vs the 8400s 6MB, so it might be slightly faster, but that's about it. Then again it's not faster cause it's a quad core, it's to do with the cache, and maybe some other things. So really, quad cores are faster in games that can use 4 cores properly, and that's it. And a quad would be faster then the dual core its being compared if it's way out of its league, but then you could say that's it's not the fact that it's a quad core that makes it faster, it's the fact that it's cores by itself just simply outperform the dual cores actual cores. [editline]12:47AM[/editline] To hard to understand for you guys? aww, sorry!
I think we all understood that, and some of that shit is wrong. Way to be condescending.
I think that's only for phenom II's not kumas.
http://www.techpowerup.com/92330/Athlon_X2_7750_BE_Unlocked_to_Quad-Core.html [editline]01:20AM[/editline] And even if it doesn't unlock (Which I'm not expecting) it's still a great cost efficient processor. Should be able to OC it pretty good with my Freezer 64 pro.
