If you want to use Opera in your daily browsing without dealing with bugs and crashes, download the goddamn stable version. This is a pre-alpha, that is even worse than beta. It is just merely released to try it out and to find bugs and shit.
It's a good thing i use Opera my favorite browser :3

Wrong, this is even worse than alpha.

Oh.
That explains everything.
Oh, well, it's still beta.
Or make a custom background.
Is it just me or did they integrate the fast-forward and log in buttons into the one forward button in this build?
Is it just me or did they integrate the fast-forward and log in buttons into the one forward button in this build?
Yes they did remove some buttons from the panel.
Here is how to get it back (You can customize it as much as you like):
1: Right click the panel
2: Customize -> Appearance
3: Go to the "Buttons" tab.
4: Select "Browser" in the category pane on the left.
5: Pull the buttons you want onto the panel.
There is alot of dfferent buttons to choose between by the way.
It really lets you customize the interface alot.

Damnit automerge :<
Annoyingly, when the interface is not aero, the tabs do not integrate into the top bar, which is annoying, as on pcs like my EEE, screen real estate is at a premium. I really do something about this before the official release so it looks more like chrome does on XP.

Agree with this.
Also I am working on my application for updating the urlfilter.ini file automatically, but I need you guys to send me known adservers to my email, so I can add them to my list.
My email is: loopernor@gmail.com
I will probably release the app as alpha or beta pretty soon.
Oh damn it, it's way faster for me than Chrome.
Oh damn it, it's way faster for me than Chrome.
Very good.
Very, very good.
Reminds me a lot of chrome. FireFox really needs to step up there game. I am getting really tempted to use chrome and opera now.

The problem with Firefox is that they really lack innovation. They never really add big new features to the browser, and when they do they're just normally ripped from other browsers. They rely too much on extensions. I don't want to have to sacrifice browser performance by installing tons of extensions just to get the browser how I want it. What I like about Opera is that they have all the features I need out of the box.
New build here: http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/preparing-for-takeoff
I've heard about latest build from Opera's RSS reader.
But still, I will just wait until update, I like being bug-free.
To be honest this latest build doesn't seem too bad for bugs etc. Much better than the first release.

(Thanks to Tu154M for the artwork)
My application (Read bout it here) is coming along pretty nicely.
Got some screenshots for you guys, and I might release it as public alpha soon.
It's in very early stages btw.
What you will be granted with when first starting it:
1.

2.

3.

4.

Now it will have downloaded OBlock and put it in the same folder as the installer/updater was in.
When first starting OBlock:

And then:

And some settings (more to come later):

So yea.
Keep sending me those adservers you find in an email, and I will add them to the file.

I asked what is that application, but then I found out, and sniped this bad reading thing.
Very minor update released, which includes a Mac build.
This build still represents early work in progress; as before many things are known not to work. It can still annoy you, crash, and potentially wipe all your precious bookmarks. Backup first!
Very good.
