I'll wait for the Release Candidate Release Candidate. I would imaging such a overhaul would still have problems in the Beta Release Candidate.
The latest build has been pretty much perfect for me. They're really not too far from a stable version
I don't know what to do. Opera seems nice, but I don't want to make Firefox jealous. (Also, I'm lazy.) Other than speed, what features does Opera have that would make the switch worth it?

Oh, and Private Browsing. Unlike porn mode in other browsers, you can load private tabs in the same window as normal tabs. You don't need to open a whole new window (but you can if you want to)
Guys, I'd just like to ask you all NOT to bump this thread when the Beta is out, so that we can start over with a fresh thread for it.
If you got any content you would like of me (or anyone else) to put into the new thread, you can either PM me, or post it here.
Also nice post MisterMooth.
I reckon put in MisterMooth's list.
I reckon put in MisterMooth's list.
I only quickly threw all that together. Feel free to tweak it/add more.
@beta
Make a thread about it.

Nope it ain't beta yet.
Nope it ain't beta yet.
Not yet, but in close future...
Maybe even very close.
You know what i wanna see?
Navigating on a page relative to an anchor.
When you wanna check the newest posts in a thread with a lot of images you have to wait until it's loaded. Simply because, when you scroll to the posts you wanna go to they always keep "sliding" away because above it still keeps loading pictures which make the page bigger. Now if it would jump to the anchor as soon as the pure HTML has been loaded and then make all my scrolling relative to that anchor, shit'd be fucking awesome.

It would probably just go under in the comments.

Who's making the new thread?
Hello new browser.
http://www.opera.com/portal/startup/
Startup screen is nice
Where did they hide the preferences button?
Where did they hide the preference button?
Under "Settings"
And where would that be?
I have no menu bar.
And where would that be?

The "O" button in the top-left shows the menu
Why would they think it's smart to integrate that into the tab bar?
Why would they think it's smart to integrate that into the tab bar?
To allow for more screen space. I like it. You can bring the menu bar back if you want by clicking "Show Menu Bar" in the drop-down menu
It's dumb if you previously had the tab bar "hidden until needed". The menu is just not there anymore in that case.

You're right, it does disappear if you do have that option enabled. I don't use that option though. I guess if you do, then you'd have to always have the menu bar enabled.
I'd report this to Opera. I haven't heard of anyone else getting this
[editline]07:30PM[/editline]
It's obviously something that's been overlooked by the dev team
[editline]07:40PM[/editline]
Opera have done benchmarks:

I'm gonna make the new thread soon. Just got a bit more at my hands atm, just got home from the dentist, and my little bro is vomiting all over the place.
