No scale on the Y axis. Graph is irrelevant.
This man speaks the trust. For all we know it could be number of adds they came across on each site. [editline]01:40PM[/editline] Some will say "why are they not equal then" the world may never know.
It's probably something like 0.2 of difference.
There's no scale because it has multiple tests.
It's probably something like 0.2 of difference.
This is an example of a response made by someone who if the graph showed their favourite browser/whatever was winning they would be saying:
HAHA IN YOUR FACE WE WIN. WE RULE
I do enjoy opera and always have (could never get to grips with the Firefox browser and its addons. I even tried Chrome for a while but didn't like allot of the things it would do (on forums when admining someones profile it would fill in my password/email as it thought that it should automatically fill it in to be mine and the new page/dial thing would show a couple of porn sites (yeah yeah - incognito mode but that requires effort effort).
There's no scale because it has multiple tests.
Then clearly it is completely faulty.
There's no scale because it has multiple tests.
Your comment should be rewritten as "It should have multiple scales".
No scale on the Y axis. Graph is irrelevant.
Not irrelevant, just not detailed. The placings are still accurate. [editline]02:01PM[/editline] http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/2010/02/21/fix-for-windows-7-crash-and-video New build
Well I have just downloaded it and so far it is a little bit quicker than FF, but I still prefer FF for everything else.
Not irrelevant, just not detailed. The placings are still accurate.
Which, statistically, is completely irrelevant without an appropriate scale.
Your comment should be rewritten as "It should have multiple scales".
Never mind you guys were talking about the y axis from the beginning.
I have the opera 10.5 beta I downloaded in the first post..soo my question is does opera beta auto update?or do we have to manually download and install every new build releases
New build http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/2010/02/23/new-build-for-you-guys [editline]07:42PM[/editline]
Which, statistically, is completely irrelevant without an appropriate scale.
The only focus in those pictures are the placings. We can back them up with our own tests.
Yeah but you don't know if the difference between the high and low point is 5 score points or 5000. It could be the tiniest difference in the universe or the largest.
Yeah but you don't know if the difference between the high and low point is 5 score points or 5000. It could be the tiniest difference in the universe or the largest.
That's not exactly the point of the graph. Look elsewhere if you want the exact differences.
I have the opera 10.5 beta I downloaded in the first post..soo my question is does opera beta auto update?or do we have to manually download and install every new build releases
You have to get the builds manually.
Beta 2 has been released: http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/2010/02/24/opera-10-50-beta-2-for-windows http://www.opera.com/browser/next/ [editline]11:37PM[/editline]
You have to get the builds manually.
Just checking auto-update now, and it picks up Beta 2. I guess it only works for the more important builds? I haven't checked on the minor releases. [editline]11:40PM[/editline]
That's not exactly the point of the graph. Look elsewhere if you want the exact differences.
Then why make a graph? Just say "Opera is faster" instead of coming up with statistical bullshit. No need to dig deeper, that graph is irrelevant and worthless.
Then why make a graph? Just say "Opera is faster" instead of coming up with statistical bullshit. No need to dig deeper, that graph is irrelevant and worthless.
To present the placings of different results on the same picture. [editline]01:07AM[/editline] The point of that image is just to summarize the graphs for the blog post in which it was posted. http://my.opera.com/chooseopera/blog/a-new-era-of-browser-speed
To present the placings of different results on the same picture.
Rofl okay, nevermind, if you didn't understand it by now you'll never get it. The graph is statistically irrelevant. Period.
Rofl okay, nevermind, if you didn't understand it by now you'll never get it. The graph is statistically irrelevant. Period.
The graph isn't supposed to be looked at by itself. It's really only the header to the blog post. http://my.opera.com/chooseopera/blog/a-new-era-of-browser-speed

http://my.opera.com/chooseopera/blog/a-new-era-of-browser-speed
Yes, I read that. Doesn't change my point that people were right to consider it useless in this thread. Fff.
Oh, in this thread, maybe. I'm not sure why the blog post wasn't linked in the OP along with the picture.
I'm almost sure it'll be released very soon.
Beta 2 has been released: http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/2010/02/24/opera-10-50-beta-2-for-windows http://www.opera.com/browser/next/ [editline]11:37PM[/editline] Just checking auto-update now, and it picks up Beta 2.
