What the fuck is that thing, doesn't look comfortable at all.
your hand rest mostly on the smooth surface of the mouse, you never actually touch the sharp edges, and you can adjust the palm rest so it will be comfortable and a good grip no matter what hand size you are.

I'm actually thinking of getting one.

The palm rest can be extended for a good grip or retracted for a claw-grip. Love adjusting the DPI on the go, especially when sniping in BF3. Build quality is excellent, feels very sturdy. The only downside I can think of is how easy it is to click the 2 mouse buttons, I had to get used to it at first, but it's made rapid clicking easy
I've been through a lot of mice, but my favorite is easily the Microsoft one I've had for years. My previous one Saitek cyborg was awful, didn't last me two months.
I was at BestBuy canada, picked up a RAT 5, bestbuy has awesome in-store support.. was looking for good mice then some kind person redirected me over to the gaming mice section without even asking. Overall its pretty comfortable, I like it.
If your going to go logitech get the mx518 its optical while the newer g400 and g500 are laser and both have hardware acceleration which can't be turned off, My cousin has the g400 and I have the mx518 and we both prefer mine and the mx518 has better grip then the g400.
By hardware acceleration do you mean the laser is further up on the mouse and not directly in the middle? Or are people still saying the laser module adds accel during processing.
£2.97 optical mouse from Tesco never lets you down

Its also really tiny and I tried it out, it sucks.
There is a reason anyone with a brain never shops at BestBuy.
So you're attempting to say the MX518 can out do RAT5? [editline]23rd December 2011[/editline]
There is a reason anyone with a brain never shops at BestBuy.
What is wrong with bestbuy, they carry alot of electronics that their competitors do not. Not everyone wants to wait a week+ for a input device in the mail.

The reason you're not seeing it there anymore is because it's been largely replaced by the G400 after 6 years of service, which is pretty damn impressive.
Are your hands the size of the motherfucking car?
Eh, I just don't like it. It feels alot more cramped then the RAT5 or other higher end logitech models.
I'm 98% sure the max size of the RAT 5 is
SMALLER
than the MX518. The MX518 mouse is amazing. The only reason I don't own one is because I'm a lefty.

I have gigantic hands and the MX518 is pretty large for me, what the fuck is wrong with you
Eh, I just don't like it. It feels alot less cramped then the RAT5 or other higher end logitech models.
So you're implying things being cramped into a small space is good?
oh I see everyone report and move on
Well I've chosen the mouse I want why argue about my decision?
I'm using an MX518 right now. It's an excellent mouse but it is pretty fucking big
