• HTC Hero vs iPhone.... convince me?

I don't mind OSKs, but yeah it's the styling of it I hate. It's fucking sterile as hell and doesn't look like it's any good. On top of that I've heard the screen is basically useless in direct sunlight. And yes, but freedom is only good to an extent. There is a real possibility than down the road Android phone A runs the same Android build as phone B, but can't run the same apps because of screen res/slower processor or whatever. Freedom is better from a geek/techy point of view, but in terms of getting things done, I'd much rather have it closed like Apple's way and have everything work all of the time.
Personally, the iPhone is still the device of choice for me. I don't care that it's an apple product, or about the apps available, or that I can't multi-task. I just absolutely love the feeling of the iPhone's touchscreen. It's exactly the right amount of responsiveness and accuracy(IMO). I've felt the touch screens on the Droid, Nexus One, and Hero, and I just prefer the way the iPhone feels in my hand. There is one cool thing about the Hero though, it actually supports flash player; this may or may not be the seller for you, but what the hay.
HTC Hero. Unless you're some kind of Apple fanboy in which case suck off Mr. Jobs some more.
I actually just got an HTC Hero yesterday. Awesome so far.
I suggest the HTC HD2. I got the iPhone 3gs 16gb, and I like it. But it's too restrictive for me, I feel the device is capable of so much more (and it is, jailbreak proves that, but does not unlock all it could be capable of doing) than Apple lets it be.
True, but there are rumors circulating that say the iPhone won't be tied down for long.
They say its going over to Verizon now, since Apple doesn't like the shitty service that AT&T gives them.
I have the HTC Hero. It's just like the HTC Windows Mobile but it has multi touch, flash, and android apps. Compared to Iphone it's ok because its sturdy, and since you like the FB integration I would say go for the HTC.
I've had the HTC Hero for a couple of months now. I love it. Once you update the firmware (original is slow) it's what can only be described as jizz-tastic.
I have a Hero and I actually was stuck between getting the Hero or the Samsung Moment. I do not regret picking the hero one bit. If this thing had a vagina app I would make sweet love to it.
I tried that test on my Droid, it's not the touch screen, its the software that controls the touch screen because when it got the update, it worked waaay better than it did before.
iPhone, you will not regret it.
well, i work in a phone shop, and most people do.
well, i work in a phone shop, and most people do.
guess how many times a day i hear "fuck this piece of shit i should have gotten a nokia!!" and yet they still sell like hot cakes. nice one apple.
My HD2 finally came! I'm posting off it right now!
at&t is shit
Their service may get bad press, though the pricing seems really decent compared to say, Rogers in my country. $30 a month for "unlimited" data for the iPhone is a really good deal, considering you only get a 1 GB for the same price here.
