I love Sennheiser, I have a pair of Sennheiser VOIP headphones, sure VOIP headphones have poorer sound but these are a lot better than what I was dealing with before.
when i used 5h it was surprisingly similar to 3h (which i used to have) [editline]08:06PM[/editline] i used it for like 2 years btw

After looking at some info on it it seemed a lot of people complained that it was flimsy and too easy to break. Of coarse I can't confirm it since I don't own a 3H. Either way I think I would like a the 5h over the 3h just do to the fact that it was on sale for the same price as it at the time, had better reviews, and was much more sturdy.
Since I have been using crappy cheap headsets through out my life I found that my new Steel Series headset is a vast improvement. I was able to hear sounds that my past headsets couldn't capture. Another cool thing is that it has a 3 part break down for easy storage. The best part was that I got it while it was on sale for $44. I want a headset with three qualities: + Good sound. + Good Mic. + A sturdy cord. (The cord on my current headset has somehow twisted itself badly enough to rupture the rubber casing.)

The cord acts like a thick shoe lace(very strong), for some reason music sounds a bit different on this headset but I got use to it, as for the mic which I have only used once or twice picks up too much. As in I could hear my lips moving and such so if you like using the mic a lot I would suggest getting a foam cover to the mic. But I must say that ingame the sound is very good. Also the headset costs about $100 so I don't know if you would want to go that high.

And like I said, I'm tired of cheap headsets that break all the time, I'm gonna siphoon some money from my clothing account to buy a decent pair.

I have a feeling its the bass. Also regarding the durability. My brother tackled me to the ground when I had my headset on and the headset unplugged instead of breaking the wire. When the head set fell on the ground I found no scratches or anything. It still works right now. So heres my conclusion the headset is build like a tank and the bass takes a second to get used to.
To get the most out of headphones try listening to vinyl with them
hahaha
Audiophile shitstorm incoming
Agree, but there is pretty much no point buying good headphones unless you are in some way an audiophile
My headphones are from the 70's. Their power consumption is in whole watts, but I have a sound card that can drive then, and their quality is better than what's released today, because it's not power optimized. They're Koss Pro4AAs. They're cheap as hell, but that's not because they're bad, it's because they require a 400 dollar amp just to run. :v:
fuck yeah. 70's headphones! i got some old bose headphones that have the curly wire with 1/4 stereo adapter. those things ROCK. also oldpost reply

This discussion appears to be quite excellent, I apologize if someone already mentioned these in the thread, but do any of you have experience with this model? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826402012&cm_re=a700-_-26-402-012-_-Product

The guitar player in the last band I was in had a pair, they were really good.
