Well it's 6 pm, it's dark out, nobody is playing any games at the moment, and I can't seem to get a hold of someone who would be able to explain why the bouncy castle ECIES implementation needs two keypairs and is easy to fake out, yet crypto++ needs a single keypair with the private key to encrypt and public to decrypt. What the hell else am I going to do?

The contract might be a problem (but I dunno if there's a version of the phone without a contract in the US) and I think UK networks use a different network technology (GSM) than Verizon in the States does.
