I used one when I worked at Target in electronics. Cool little device, touch screen sucked though.
Seen it today while looking for a new Android device to get and damn I hope it's sold without a carrier in Germany (which is unlikely because a carrier that's also availabe here owns Verizon Wireless partially (Vodafone))
Second choice would be HTC Dragon or Acer Liquid (oh I hope those have high RAM and a 3d chip)

Tell him that the beep is way to fucking loud on that thing. I had to tape some foam over the speaker or all I would hear all morning is my supply stocker doing rel-outs. *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* from anywhere in the store.
Otherwise it's a nice gun, range is great. Makes being a lazy bastard and not bending over to hit the lower shelves easy.

It's kinda sad how even after 2 and a half years almost nothing has been as good as an iPhone. Let's hope this finally gives Android the showing it deserves.
Motorola where doing kind of bad until now, lost a big number of market share. Good to see they're back in the game.
So I just got my $300 back for my Touch Pro 2 and I'll be waiting it out. Luckily I was able to return my phone due to the 30 day guarantee but I'll be losing the rebate money until HTC sends it to myself, I'll have to wait until I get that back...
Basically they just took my phone back, added the credit to my account and activated my old phone until the Android phone is in my hands.
I really feel bad for google because they're going about this the wrong way.
I'd understand Android in a market of only Windows Mobile, but the iPhone already fill this void rather nicely and has way more development for it.
Im going to get it when it comes out. I wonder if there will be a required data plan.

I don't think so. Seeing as the Iphone OS is for only one phone (You know which one), Android is very close to pulling the rug out from underneath WinMo's feet.
Windows Mobile is a pile of unoptimized shit that uses the same base code used for a pocketPC that came out nearly ten years ago... Seriously, it's time for a rewrite.
The iPhone just flat out sucks, I do like how it brings applications/media together with your phone but there is fucktons of potential improvement that can and should be done.
I have messed around with a friend's G1 and it feels like a business phone and something you can use casually rather than having to pick one or the other and overall it feels like what the iPhone should've been... Also you don't have to deal with Apple's gimmicky bullshit.

Anyways, how much do you guys think the Droid will cost at launch? The Sprint HTC Hero costs only 179.99, the Android phones that T-Mobile has are only about $139-160... Heh, I might have some cash left over... but knowing Verizon, they'll fuck us over, sadly.

Read it wrong... Atleast the Android platform can copy and paste without having to pay for a fucking upgrade to "3.0 software" that adds a search button/voice recorder and the ability to cut/copy/paste text as we please.
