You still don't get it. The average consumer unfortunately doesn't give a rat's ass about whether the cellphone supports open source or not. The average user doesn't care how long it's been out.
The iPhone is obviously the superior choice because there's a fucking app for anything, and I mean that wholeheartedly. It's like looking through Google, you'll almost ALWAYS find what you're looking for. With Android, that's not going to happen, and the fact that it's free to develop for means there will be no quality control whatsoever, therefore you'll start seeing shit applications that people just developed out of boredom more than anything.
And I obviously don't give a shit about the average consumer because the average consumer in America is a fucking idiot.

Self-esteem. Try it.
Okay, are you finally done with shitting over the thread?

You're the one who's trying to argue with common sense, not me.

I gave my opinion regarding my experience with it. It fucking sucked and if you think otherwise, that's fine.

I can accept that your experience with it sucked.
/debate.

You're not hearing me, the actual software sucked ass, hence why I got rid of the pile of shit.
You're not hearing me, the actual software sucked ass, hence why I got rid of the pile of shit.
Oh here we go again.
You just like being controversial, don't you? The software itself is fine. Perhaps you're too used to blocky, practical-looking interfaces, then that's fine. Stop arguing about this.
Fuckin yes, it's like they took an iPhone and extracted the gay out of it.
Fuckin yes, it's like they took an iPhone and extracted the gay out of it.
And what is this, "gay" exactly?
And what is this, "gay" exactly?
The stupid fucking Apple on it with the iPhone text on the back, the poorly programmed operating system it uses and the community that supports it.
So um, I heard Verizon android phones are coming.

1- I always knew it was just a matter of it being labeled "Apple" that bothered you. Fanboy.
2- Poorly programmed? Ha, you'd know, right?
3- The community that supports it know what they're talking about and they aren't non-conformist assholes who think having something that isn't popular makes them cool and mysterious.
Ending facts: you're just jealous and so you come on here to bitch about how the perfect phone is so horrible to get some attention. Go on, bitch some more, I'm done trying to talk some sense into you. You want to buy an Android phone, go for it, and enjoy the 6 or 7 good applications that are out for it.
Incoming fanboyish rant of jealous idiocy in 3..2..1...
So um, I heard Verizon android phones are coming.
Hopefully in a week or two, until then, I haven't got a phone to use.

1.) I honestly don't give a shit, if I liked the iPod Touch, I would've gotten an iPhone but that wasn't the case... I don't give a flying fuck about who made it.
2.)Yeah, because I have tried working with the SDK and I can make my own educated opinion by that.
3.) The community that supports it consists of mostly 16 year old girls that bought it solely because of the fact that it had the gimmicky i before the actual name.
The Ad is fucking sweet! I nerd nutted when I randomly saw it the other day.
As for android on verizion, I've had it for a couple months now on my phone.
Also, the Android Market has, what, 10,000 applications (most of which are shit, by the way) while the Appstore has 85,000, growing at a rate of 10,000 per month.
Ooh yeah, such harsh competition. :downs:

Obvious liar is obvious.
Android is not fully developed yet, it is still an upcoming phone OS. Once it starts getting a user base when it is commonly prepackaged with phones of all services will the good applications start to come out. Back when the iphone cost $2000, when not many people had them I'm sure there weren't many great apps out either. Face it, not everyone has a touch screen phone with "apps" available at their fingertips. When this becomes the average for all phones, when all services have this kind of technology, I'm sure there will be a profusion of apps.
When a fresh alternative to the iphone is beginning to be released, give it some time to breath before pouncing on it. Eventually, when everyone is using apps, there will be a greater market for them. There will be jobs for app developers, where people who own all different types of phone OSs request apps to be created, when everyone uses them. The point is, smartphones are still a recent technology; they are upcoming.
Please excuse parts of this post, I typed this whilst sick and tired.

I agree with everything you said. Finally somebody who understands what they're talking about.
of course anything created by Apple will sell well
Please tell me you're just trolling.
Looks like an iPod touch with a keyboard
Was looking through the appstore, much more impressive than the iPhone/iPod Touch one...
I hope you realize theres almost no difference as most of the Android apps are iPhone ports and vice versa.

It's two days earlier...
It's two days earlier...
If you read it, it's only a press conference where they'll reveal it officially with other Android phones, not the actual release...
I was expecting a robot that follows you around taking calls :<
Completely off topic, a new Apple store opened in town and they gave everyone who entered free high-fives :buddy: .
