I won't argue with you because you're obviously biased. Babble about it elsewhere.
"Until you've worked with them both" Sounds like he's not biased to me as he's worked with them both. Can you point out the bias other than thinking that the iphone's sdk is shit?
"Until you've worked with them both" Sounds like he's not biased to me as he's worked with them both. Can you point out the bias other than thinking that the iphone's sdk is shit?
Hint: you can't believe everything you hear on the internet. :downs:
I still can't decide between a 16gb iphone 3gs or an Android. Really looking forward to a new phone, I fucking hate my Helio Ocean and my 2 year blood-sucking contract ends this December. How large is the Android's memory going to be? Anyone know if the battery is replaceable as opposed to iPhone's?
Hint: you can't believe everything you hear on the internet. :downs:
So you know instantly that he's never worked with the iphone's sdk because he's saying it's shit compared to android's sdk.
So you know instantly that he's never worked with the iphone's sdk because he's saying it's shit compared to android's sdk.
No, I'm basing that over the entire thread. Reading through the thread, all of his post clearly shows he doesn't know what he's talking about. [editline]03:55AM[/editline] Also, the Android SDK is probably a lot better, I have no doubt. That's not what I'm arguing against. I'm arguing that, because the iPhone pretty much came out first and has a larger community, it's the most appealing choice for developers because, even though the SDK tools probably aren't that good, the money is. Developers can become very rich from making apps for the Appstore, and that's why it's the most appealing option. For regular consumers, it's obviously more appealing because it has more apps.
Hint: you can't believe everything you hear on the internet. :downs:
I do alot of work in mobile development, the iPod Touch/iPhone suck ass in the development aspect.
I do alot of work in mobile development, the iPod Touch/iPhone suck ass in the development aspect.
In your biased opinion. You obviously just blindly hate anything with an Apple brand. And it likely doesn't 'suck ass' because there are a shitload of developers and apps. Maybe you just suck ass at it. Also, I have a difficult time believing you got a Mac just to dick around with the SDK, so nice try.

Or a troll. Probably the last one.

And there are ways around getting an apple machine to develop for the iphone, if you look around. That, and the fact that apple tried to make it so you could only develop on it on it's own hardware is just retarded. Oh, and they Don't get jack for developing on it. Seriously, that's more piracy than almost all PC games.
I'm not even going to start telling you how wrong you are.
Please do. Alex there has at least said he used each toolkit, the most you can say is 'it might suck but the gui is nice and there's lots of users so it's better'. So I stand by my assumption that you are talking out your ass.
Please do. Alex there has at least said he used each toolkit, the most you can say is 'it might suck but the gui is nice and there's lots of users so it's better'. They just want a lot of apps, which is where the iPhone delivers. The average developer wants to program to the largest audience, and if they work hard enough, their product can generate millions of dollars. That's where the iPhone delivers. Oh, and the SDK is great. The prices to make programs aren't, but like I said, you earn much if you work hard enough. It's obvious he's lying because, reading through his posts, he talks absolute shit about the iPhone, actually claiming that: 1- the touch screen sucks. Hah, yeah right. 2- the Appstore sucks. 3- the Apple logo sucks :downs: 4- the SDK sucks, even though thousands and thousands of developers say otherwise. So yeah, let's believe him, because he's totally not the one 'talking out of his ass.' Feel free to stop sucking his dick any time soon.
1- the touch screen sucks. Hah, yeah right. Not so highly accurate 2- the Appstore sucks. It's really messy. How the fuck do you find stuff in there without using the "newest apps", promotions etc. or the search function (which isn't useful for _browsing_ the catalog)? You don't. 3- the Apple logo sucks :downs:I don't think that's what he meant :downs: 4- the SDK sucks, even though thousands and thousands of developers say otherwise.
Although I must admit that I haven't used any similar devices. Just a Windows Mobile device (for which no appstore currently exists at all) that has a capacitive touchscreen :/ which is also high-resolution, so it's not very accurate either.
I don't see why you persist in your arguments, is it not evident already that none of you are going to come to any kind of conclusion? Nobody is just going to give up and accept the other persons point. As for the phones, they look pretty good. I'm glad they've decided to stick with including a physical keyboard. The resolution looks pretty nice too.
Really nice looking phone, but I am stuck with AT&T :saddowns:

Being an owner of one, I simply defend it, that's all. No more arguing, however. Also, any recent news about the Droid?

Also Verizon reps are being trained on the HTC ERIS (sadly runs on Android 1.5, that was confirmed) and apparently the Motorola and HTC DROID phones will be launched simultaneously 1.) The touchscreen does suck when you're trying to text someone or type a note out to yourself and the screen scratches easily... That's why I say it sucks. 2.) The appstore is useless if the apps mostly suck, I can't see myself using any of those except a slight few. 3.) I personally don't like Apple because of their business ethic, no harm in that, criticism is what makes the world go round'. 4.)Millions of people voted for Bush back in the 04 election, thousands of people are victims of Nigerian scams, hundreds of people believe the Earth is flat, what does that say about numbers? Let's also take into account that "you can only use the SDK if you own a Mac" (which is completely untrue, but I would assume half of the people who are willing to use the piece of shit don't have the mental capacity to research the topic and find a workaround...) so obviously they are users of products created by Apple.
I can't wait for this phone to come out i read somewhere press/public release on Wednesday!
I can't wait for this phone to come out i read somewhere press/public release on Wednesday!
Why does every keep saying next week.

The screen scratches easily? Yeah, now I know you're obviously lying. You have never used an iPhone in your life. You could literally take a key and, like you scratch a lottery ticket, try to scratch the screen. Nothing will happen. Ooh, scratches so easily whilst typing. 2.) Again, you're full of crap. The Appstore has more gems than shitty apps. Even then, I'd say there are around 10,000 'shitty apps.' That leaves 80,000 good apps. 3.) I don't like Apple either. Just because I like the iPhone doesn't mean I automatically like Apple. Stop thinking I'm some macfag. 4.) Your stupidity reaches new highs with that fourth reason. Your examples are quite idiotic and do not relate to this at all. You can't compare elections and victim counts to number of Apps. What the fuck are you even trying to prove? Stop trolling. Stop threadshitting. You are obviously full of crap because everything you said about the iPhone is against the facts, not my opinion. Also, I thought Motorola was the maker of the Droid. [editline]08:18PM[/editline] DROID isn't a phone but rather a series of phones using the Android platform on Verizon.

Go figure. Anyway, which DROID will be the first to come out?
The HTC ERIS and the Motorola DROID are launching the same date. The HTC version sadly uses Android 1.5 which kinda defeats the point of launching with the DROID but obviously the Motorola phone will use 2.0
How come they don't just allow users to update the firmware to 2.0?
That's up to the developers from what I've heard, what's the point of having an HTC Android phone if you don't have Sense?
Holy fuck! Have you guys SEEN the Droid in action yet? Be right back. Have to change my pants five times over. That was the jizz of a lifetime. This phone is beast, and it has wifi...on the Verizon Network. Also, stop arguing about the iphone in here. This is the droid thread, not the argument thread.
