This isn't exactly the next generic LG phone. This is supposedly going to compete with the iPhone. Expect it to cost around the same.

I've been following the droid for a little bit now, when one of my friends told me about it.

Also: iPhone is good, Droid is good. It just depends who your provider is, pricing, etc.

And in my case, I might try making something, and since you have to pay first for iPhone (as well as a required mac OS), and I'm a lazy bastard, I'm going with Android.

But I don't think Droid will be able to handle 3D all that well, while supposedly the iPhone can. It has OpenGL, though!

The iPhone 3GS does use OpenGL ES 2.0, and it handles 3D amazingly. It pretty much gives graphics on par or better than the PSP.

Android apparently supports OpenGL ES 1.0, but whatever.

Also, I've used the keyboard on the DROID, it kicks the iPhone's ass in terms of typing feel and overall accuracy in typing. And it's huge.
