Just out of curiosity, is it any concern if Speccy shows my SSD running at 128 degrees?
Probably not. It could just be a missing/ broken sensor. Speccy shows them as 128C normally.
What is your budget? I have four of these. Really fucking fast transfers.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148844
I wanted to stay around $100, that looks nice though.
Well, check out the 2TB model, might work well for you. I forget how much it is though. I bought mine on Amazon for 199, so they drop in price pretty fast.
In other shitty news, I felt like playing Dirt 3, you know that game that usually goes at >100fps maxed out on systems like mine.
Yea. 13fps. herpderp. First GPU at about 70% usage and the other around 30fps, what the fuck Nvidia.

I think I'm going to buy a nice big SSD for my games, then maybe a larger one for my OS since I find I'm running out of space, and then use my 64gb for caching or something IDK.
can someone tell me how in the fuck does one manage to sleep from 12 AM to 8 PM the next day
because I just did that and I feel like shit
This one looks good. Nearly $1 per GB.
It's big enough where I might end up simply using it for my OS and my Game drive.

Whuddia think? $300 is my limit I think. I was thinking of having a 128gb for OS and main programs, then a decent sized ones for my games. Say 160-256gb.
That's a great deal. I use a samsung SSD in my netbook.

Holy crap.
Most I've ever done was midnight->4pm, and I'm pretty sure I was sick when that happened.
Longest I've gone was 11pm to 3pm.
I had been discharged from the hospital and was on some serious drugs.
I guess I really am nocturnal then :v:
On an unrelated note, the APK for the S-Voice (On the Galaxy S-III) feature was leaked.
Its just a front-end to Vlingo that looks like Siri. GG Samsung.
9 AM to 2 AM, I woke up and thought that I woke up before I had gone to sleep. Weird shit yo

I hate it when before my eyes clear up enough to see a clock right I can't tell what time it is because it looks just the same as when I went to bed
I went and got some old and broken stuff from a local service shop
among the things I got are old boards, an nvidia MX400 (graphical glitches, so, sadly, broken) and an old access point and since I don't know what the fuck it is but it has a connection for a wifi antenna and an ethernet cable I'm trying to see if i can make it work
and an old fax modem with the best toggle switch in the world

full metal switch by Latin Geek, on Flickr
I could seriously entertain myself just flicking this thing on and off for hours
I just love that feeling you get from flipping those switches. :fap:

Take that modem apart and just keep that switch seperately
I just love that feeling you get from flipping those switches. :fap:
Same here.
Also, circuit breakers. Those things have like the best CLICK sound when you flip them.
I think we can agree that mechanical switches universally have the best feeling on anything ever

My families car got stolen, But the thieves only emptied the tank, smashed the ignition and parked it rather neatly in the middle of town, So now we got one of those to start the car. It's an awesome feeling, even for an old and small mazda :v:

Probably gonna wire it to my computer so I can turn it on using that because fuck yeah that'd be cool

don't, you'd probably find yourself flicking it on and off all the time :v:
Use it on a lightswitch or a lamp or something
or use it to toggle power to a raspberry pi
fuck that, lightswitch

oooh that might give me some incentive to use my desk lamp from time to time
I'm not sure if it can handle the volt/wattage tho

If you want to get complicated, you could use a relay.
Someone teach me how to virtualdub
I have a set of images recorded by source recorder. Resolution is 1680x1050
Whatever I do in virtualdub when putting the images together some parts ALWAYS get cropped off

Are you sure the image is cropped or is the frame too large for the window?
I saw this picture on Facebook.

surge strips are really resilient to shorts for some reason, I've played shows in the rain and a puddle forms around the surge strip. you pick it up and can pour rain water out, but nothing ever went wrong with the strip
Just wondering if anyone here has an inkling as to what the fuck is happening.
Me and a few guys from my comp sci course are currently trying to solve the mystery of a fancy cold caller. A few of us in the group of people I know are all receiving calls to our phones from someone (we can't work out who). The calls are spoofed to people in our contacts list, or a small pool of phone numbers. The calls then connect us to something entirely random, some people have had silence, some have had voice recordings, others have had unavailable/ busy lines, on occasion we seem to actually get someone on the other line who is just as surprised as we are.
All of our phones are running a collection of OSes, iOS, Android, Symbian, and Blackberry OS (whatever it is). The calls come in waves. We don't know how they are getting our numbers in the first place as few of us have our numbers on Facebook, and even though I do, it's private except to people I allow (none of the people in the group are allowed).
We want to call it a "phone proxy" because that sounds the most logical to us :v:
So, any ideas?
http://www.prankdial.com/?
There's a bunch of prank call recordings on there and even one which allows you to connect a phone call to other phones (You can even spoof the caller id). I wouldn't be surprised if it was involved.

Get two 128GB ones and put them in RAID if you have the money.
