Anyone have any idea how much two stock XFX 6870s would sell for?

I'd say about 40-50 bucks under MSRP.

I'd might buy them.

Scan around eBay and subtract $20-40 for a conservative estimate.
Actually on second thought I really don't need to upgrade yet, Most games I've thrown at my computer can be maxed at 1080p or be played at least at medium high settings.
it looks like it wants to kill me
I have been electrocuted twice by these outlets. Don't trust them.
I have yet to play a game that doesn't max out at 1920x1440 on my single 6870, I have no idea why you people think you need the absolute top of the line shit to have any fun

I don't need it, but if he could sell me one of them for like $25, I'd might as well pick it up and set up my current rig for crossfire. That's not a bad deal.

You haven't played many games.

Go play BF3/Metro 2033 then.
Anyone have any idea how much two stock XFX 6870s would sell for?
I'd probably give you some dosh for one depending on shipping costs
because bf3/metro 2033 are the only fun games out there :downs:

They're more demanding than most.
How reliable is Passmark when it comes to GPUs? I've been using it on and off as a thing to quickly compare cards for the past few weeks or so. A 6870 gets like a 2800 mark which is a pretty fucking good score against my 9400GT's (I know, I know...) 270.

Passmark is a synthetic benchmark meant to show the maximum power of a system.
A better option if you're going to be gaming would be finding benchmarks for the games you plan to play.

Except he shouldn't make false statements and get away with it because he doesn't like BF3 or Metro 2033.

Just play some games with them and compare the FPS you get. Far simpler.

Well, for a long time the GTX 580 would score higher than the 680, so I don't know.
It also seems to get unfair results for AMD cards.

The resulting scores are based off of samples done on individuals' hardware.
Possibly some results appear skewed because systems have bottlenecks or immature drivers.

I detect no falsehoods. He didn't say "No games require that much power," he said "I don't need that much power."
suddenly, 13 minutes of awkward silence
I was thinking, later on when more of your raspberry pi's have arrived, what would you guys think about a dedicated project thread?
An informative OP listing all of the expansions available (and in development), links to different programming and electronics resources and somewhere to keep track of all of the varying OS images and configuration guides.
