The generic reader that came with my computer a good three years ago is still going strong. Sure, the CF slot is probably unusable and filled with dust because I've never in my life even seen a CF or MD card, but it works. Also, MD drives are the cutest things ever.
"confirmed genuine Logitech and Sandisk stuff" How was it confirmed? Other customer reviews?
In the product name, designer = knock-off and genuine = real, which I've yet to see DealExtreme lie about.
Weird, I've always hated code that doesn't put the braces on the same line as the statement:
if ($condition){ do_a_thing(); } else { do_something_else(); }

Oh god no. I find code formatted like that nigh unreadable.
if($condition){ a(); } else { b(); }
If it's multiple conditions I space it so it's more readable.
if( $condition && $condition2 ){ a(); } else { b(); }
Reminds me of the days when taking a phone call at an IT firm was the ultimate heresy. [editline]26th May 2012[/editline] aaaand it's now speedy, but no avatars show. [editline]26th May 2012[/editline] The forums are fast as fuck now, garry changed from WinServer2008 & IIS to Linux & Apache.

I think that's usually a *bit* higher.
Seth is my new hero, everything is fixed, and the site barely uses any RAM now. I used to get 300MB on a raw page now I'm getting 250MB on 3 threads and the ticker

Alright guys, in a bit of trouble here. Just building my PC, and realised I don't have anything to ground to. My case is painted completely inside, and my PSU appears to be painted too. Any reccomendations? I have an aluminium Macbook Pro with a grounded charger, would I be able to connect the ESD strap to that?
I'm putting my new parts together and I got to the front panel audio connector. There's only one front panel audio port on the mobo, marked JAUD1. The mobo manual doesn't say whether to use AC97 or HDAUDIO. Which one do I use? All the manual say is "This connector allows you to connect the front audio panel located on your computer case. This connector is compliant with the Intel Front Panel I/O connectivity design guide.".

I just realized this was the wrong thread for that, sorry. Kind of off my mind right now. Been building it for awhile, first time.
Well hey, look what's finally back.
Holy gosh it is back!
What year is it?
What year is it?
1999.
1999.
Oh cool, brb buying 3DFX hardware.
1999.
Oh shit I'm 4 years old!
Oh shit I'm 4 years old!
They grow up so fast. [editline]27th May 2012[/editline]
1999.
So we're going to lose FP again at the end of the year again? Aw man.
Well the digitiser came for my tablet, I broke the LCD panel disassembling it. The cheap POS was held together with glue and sticky tape. Tablet is now in the bin and the digitiser is being resold.
Planning on migrating my ArchLinux Samba NAS to Server 2008 R2 and making it a domain controller in the process, anything I should be aware about? I'm going to be shoving a clean 1TB drive in there to install Windows to, then booting back into Arch to move stuff over from my 3TB split LVM (don't worry, I'm making room), and then wiping the LVM and adding them to a windows dynamic disk. (and before you say "RAID!", I need expandability without wiping)
Send that to me, I might be able to repair it.
Too late, the bins already been emptied. [editline]26th May 2012[/editline] I kinda wish I hadn't bought it.
Aaand it's back up.
