Ah, the good old days when people still commonly thought that. Good old days.
I guess you're right, but I said that referring to a time that many I knew would think that Ram = Hard Drive -> "I have 2GB of ram", "What ?! What's wrong with your computer? I have 160GB, your computer sucks" :v:
Reminds me of a time when I said our computer had 512 MB ram, and I told my dad (He knew obviously, but I really didn't care at the time, I was like, 6. Mind you this was on a shitty emachines that was pretty good at the time.) this. He then kept telling me we had 256, and I kept saying no until I showed him, into which he said "I thought you meant video RAM (Somewhat unknown to me at the time) and I said "no." Good times.
Just realized I have my old mobo with 6GB ram, Q66, and a passive heatsink on my shelf. I can flexraid it. I just need a PSU which I have some old ones. I gave away my Seasonic to the guy on here or I'd use that. Now I need like a USB optical drive. Now I want something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811353002
Ah, the good old days when people still commonly thought that. Good old days.
One of my friends thought that until yesterday.. I had to briefly teach him how multithreading works..Twas annoying.
somehow i highly doubt this. (half-life 2) [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/y3EL[/img_thumb]
it'll run pretty good

Right, do you English-speakers have a short name for "Vocational Qualification in Business Information Technology"? Because I'm going to have that after graduation (today) and fuck typing that.
Just finished building my first computer, unfortunately I can't even start installing Windows until tomorrow though :( It wasn't as difficult as I was afraid it would be, and I got the post beep first time. Thought I went safe with a Fractal case, but apparently nope. Hope you had a better experience.
Whats that? A utility LCD?
Open source and $20 Now I just need to make a case for it

Can't have them lying around, but you don't want to throw them out? Build a computer.

FINALLY
Fucking seth
Let's celebrate the restarting of FP with the professionally built case for my new screen
This frustration of the downtime FP is now too much. Pretty much describes me right now.
Then you have some serious problems.
About my battery problem, after 24 hours of usage, the design capacity has settled at 5900 mAh (marketed as 8800 mAh). So yeah, got ripped off by almost 3000 mAh. The guy is not accepting returns either. Negative rating sent, now to get a refund from Paypal. [editline]1st June 2012[/editline] and to look for a battery seller that actually sells batteries at capacities they are marketed as, sells batteries for the T61, widescreen version AND has high-capacity batteries for sale.
Guys, i've just done the most retarded thing IMAGINABLE I just electrocuted myself My god it was NOT fun I was working on this monitor PSU and accidentally touched a VRM heatsink [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5831868/IMG_1013.JPG[/t] [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5831868/IMG_1014.JPG[/t] [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5831868/IMG_1015.JPG[/t] I accidentally touched the middle heatsink with my finger, it made my arm fly back and made me scream FUCK, now i'm shaking [editline]1st June 2012[/editline] Nothing hurts, it's just the end of my finger is tingling
What voltage?
Usually the capacitors still store quite a high voltage
What voltage?
The cap is rated for 400 volts at 100 micro farads Looking at the traces, the part i touched is after the step down transformer. wait I COULD HAVE DIED HOLY FUCK [editline]1st June 2012[/editline] HOLY ACTUAL FUCK SCARY SHIT
