Are you cursed?
I haven't ruled that out.
welp here comes the content walking down the sipwicket lane to clarify: the cpu is probably shit and minecraft takes up A LOT of CPU also, internet connection
Its just one of those things you notice. I sure won't host more than one considering my network is not up to the Challenge of a bunch of servers. For the sake of giving you the right information, check the specs for the CPU.
RMA and get an exorcist or witch doctor to remove any curses you have.
Already emailed Asus support - if they're as good as they were last time (hard drive died after 2 years, replaced under warranty), I should have a replacement pretty much as fast as they can ship it. WHICH STILL WILL NOT BE FAST ENOUGH
Make sure when you get it, you run several Minecraft servers with all those gigs of RAM you have! :downs:

a bit of content i forgot about so i went to a networking job today (already put 10 hours into this damn place) and they wanted to get rid of the monitor, keyboard, and mouse on the server and have it run through teamviewer. so i grab my extra monitor because the original one was dead, and the damn thing wont get past the login screen. so i restart it because it froze the fuck up, try to log in, froze again. so i restart it again and it works! 15 minutes later it gets to a point to where i can open firefox and download teamviewer (its a really old dell tower) and nothing will download, and its yelling at me about low free space. so i go to my computer and HOLY FUCKING SHIT IT ONLY HAS 84KB'S LEFT ON ITS HARD DRIVE. i have no clue how that got past anyone, nobody complained about it not saving stuff, nothing.
WE MUST SHIP A REPLACEMENT WITH A WARP DRIVE CAPABLE VEHICLE.
THEY COULD SHIP IT AT WARP 10 (NEXT-GEN WARP SPECIFICATIONS, NOT ORIGINAL SERIES) AND IT STILL WOULD NOT BE FAST ENOUGH
snip
106 is nothing in fahrenheit.
What problems did you have with it? [editline]1st June 2012[/editline] Wow Newegg, eat a dick. Right after I pay $80 for the 500gb F3, the 1tb version goes on sale. FOR FUCKING $80.
You paid 80 bucks for a 500gb?
106 is nothing in fahrenheit.
why i snipped it
WE MUST USE THE BUFFER TECHNOLOGY AND TELEPORT YOUR REPLACEMENT.
UNLESS IT ARRIVES SIX WEEKS AGO, IT STILL WILL NOT BE FAST ENOUGH FOR ME TO BE COMPLETELY SATISFIED!
You're a hard guy to please.
I HAVE BEEN WAITING PATIENTLY, THEN IMPATIENTLY, FOR MONTHS I HAVE SUFFERED NUMEROUS SETBACKS, EACH MORE BIZARRE THAN THE LAST I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO BE UNPLEASABLE
If I get the EVGA ~superclock~ version now, can I add a normal 680 in SLI later? Cause the superclock is pretty much the only one available right now.
The clock speed does not matter in the least.
he doesn't have any experience with them :v: [editline]2nd June 2012[/editline] do any of you have a fanaticalvps? how are they?
Fanatical is awesome.
Just goes to show that TurtleBeach is overrated. Might be good sound quality, but their headphone parts are absolute shit.
Sound quality isn't poor but I wouldn't consider saying it's good. The wires have been coiling up and twisting, peeling it off. Some piece of plastic snapped off so I used some hot glue. When I get some money I'm just going to get some headphones and a mic, and keep this headset for my xbox.
Make sure when you get it, you run several Minecraft servers with all those gigs of RAM you have! :downs:
I have a server running if you want to join. 64.184.10.144:23 (Yes, port 23, the age old port for telnet.) In a event that you need a admin, call me on Skype (Texting would be ineffective at waking me up) with the id jarrodmaddy.

WHAT THE FUCK?
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME MY LAPTOP IS ALREADY FUCKING DEAD Three and a half hours. Three and a half FUCKING hours, between FedEx dropping it off and the thing dying. That has got to be some sort of record. I'm 99% certain it's completely dead, but on the slim chance that I'm just a moron, here's the symptoms: 1) While running off battery power (to see how long it lasts), shit just cut off. With ~80% battery. 2) Trying to restart causes the status lights to flash on, and the keyboard backlight to flash, and sometimes a bit of static from the speakers, but then everything just cuts off. Screen never turns on, fans and hard drive never spin up. 3) Nothing I've tried has fixed it: > Removing battery, running off just AC > Charging battery back to full (as shown by battery indicator light) > Removing charger, running off just battery > Letting unit sit, no power, for 10 min to let any residual charge dissipate > Swapping hard drive with known-good drive (kind of a long shot, but worth a try) It seems like a short, but there's no signs of any loose screws or wires. And there is absolutely no fucking way I've damaged it myself - I hadn't even had time to pop open the cover before it fried.
oops :(
long distance makol-ing
Oh well, at least I still have a project for this weekend - putting a new hard drive in this thing and slapping Windows on it.
you fixed it?
you fixed it?
No, it's still dead. I'm putting a new hard drive in my Mac. It won't be good for many games (the Radeon X1900 holds it back) but it'll be a bit better.
I don't understand the problem.
okay, so 1920x1200 is taller than 1920x1080, and will create clipping and/or black lines when i render and upload it like i do now. how do i get around that.
Record 1080p.
Record 1080p.
so i pretty much have to change the game res whenever i want to record?
