Hey guys, look lavacano finally finished his project. Probably late though.
I don't want to use tunngle. I don't want to use Hamachi. I don't want to use any of these silly programs (including Gameranger), I want to do it the way it's meant to be done with an open port. I've always had problems with both tunngle and Hamachi. tunngle: One of my friends can't connect to anyone on my network with it. It just refuses to work. Nothing, nothing, we do or he does fixes his problem. Hamachi: Certain friends experience horrible latency/lag with it, even though they have superior connection and live rather close to me. Gameranger: Lag, disconnection problems. Makes my computer slow down for some reason. None of these problems exist whatsoever on a normal connection without some 3rd party thing supporting it.
Why use tunngle when Gameranger is better? http://www.gameranger.com/
So ubuntu won't detect the partition that i made and still wants to wipe my disk. What do i do?
What file system is it in?
What file system is it in?
NTFS, but it should still detect it right? This drive has gone through about 5-10 installs of mac os x, windows xp/7, and ubuntu over the past 3 years if that matters.
I found a thread with the exact same problem I am experiencing and no one posted a solution there I hate that feeling :smithicide: Why didn't you respond, OP?
Strange. I have never run across that problem
I run into it all the time
seriously, nobody can help me with my problem.
Gaah, Firefox Sync is a huge pain to set up between two partitions on the same computer, just because of all the back-and-forth you need to do. It really was not designed for "I have a dual-boot system and want to synchronize bookmarks between them.

Where did Jarrod go. I seriously wonder if he's figured out that an Ubuntu server doesn't have the GUI yet.
seriously, nobody can help me with my problem.
The latest Ubuntu installer is having major problems with me detecting NTFS partitions, for some reason. What I did was, reboot, boot into Windows, power off (just to make sure the NTFS partition is actually properly unmounted, Linux hates NTFS partitions that haven't been properly unmounted), boot and go to installer. If it still doesn't detect anything, just tell it to use entire drive, it spat out an error message to me during install, aborted the install and then it detected the partition just fine. One thing you could also do is, open Nautilus and press on the partition to mount it, might help, I was going to test that after the step I described above but since that thing worked, I didn't see any reason to.

It could wipe my entire drive. [editline]3rd June 2012[/editline] Would it be a good idea to just download 11.04, install that, then update to 12.04?
Today on Steam was a good day. I got gifted VVVVV and Bit Trap. <3
Haven't heard of both of them...
I miss games that used tracker format music. They just have a certain charm to them...and somehow make for some of the most relaxing music sometimes. (See the Deus Ex Unatco theme for example)

So I have had Diablo 3 for a little over 24 hours and already have a legendary. I'm at a LAN party right now over at my friends house and we're all playing it. We're also going to make a friend of mine play Amnesia on like an 82 inch screen with surround sound. This is going to be fun. Also, no one can hear anything over my AT101W. There's a kid here with a Blackwidow BF3 edition and this thing is so much louder. [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/17065151/Photo%20Jun%2002%2C%209%2031%2023%20PM.jpg[/t] That's all of us. You can clearly see my set up with the Mac Mini :v:
