Is this a worthy purchase?

"I have always wanted a hard top pad with the perfect glide and big enough so I would never have to drag the mouse outside the edges in an important game. That was the two most important things when making my very own HeatoN pad. With the best glide ever on a hard top together with the durability so the glide won't change every week. I would have to say that we have developed the perfect plastic pad that will never interfere with your game and make sure you are always on the top of your game."
The selling point is you can glide in one direction forever, thus not interrupting your game (because, you know, you can't just up the mouse sensitivity).

And he just uses the corner of it anyways.
That's an awful posture
I don't see the problem, my mousepad is about 20x20cm and it's big enough to control triple screen without it ever going over the edge
Why would you even need a huge pad like that? I don't usually go beyond my mousepad and my mousepad is an eight-inch Facepunch logo.

Was that sarcasm? Changing mouse sensitivity is one of the worst things you can do. You learn to predict how the mouse behaves. Some people work better at different sensitivities.

I know, but if you have to glide the distance of your mouse pad several times to turn around in a game, then your mouse sensitivity is too low.

I can't stand anything above 1200 DPI and yet my mouse goes up to like 5000, if it was just as easy as "upping your sensitivity" then everyone would be doing it

Apparently a CD drive can catch .22 short. learn something new every day
the small dents are from a red ryder that didn't penetrate at all.

I'm not suggesting upping mouse sensitivity to ridiculous rates, just not having it so slow that a mousepad as big as that is even remotely necessary. Unless you're eighty, it's not that hard to get used to a higher, but still reasonable, mouse sensitivity.
I don't even use a mousepad, most of the time.
I do, however, have one of these:

Although it's kind of beat up now - I kept it in my laptop bag for three years.

You Sir, own an awesome mousepad.
I think I ordered a 680 and not a 670..
oops?
This is my mousepad, it was from that one site that offered a custom mousepad for $1. As you can see, it's pretty rough now.

I wonder how well hard drives stop bullets
I wonder how well hard drives stop bullets
It's dark now but I'll find out for you tomorrow.
I love Wifi. I've been roaming around school all day, downloading an OpenVMS ISO (From HP, legally.) while I have my laptop in my bag.
I know it'll stop .22 short, I'll use .17 HM2 for that one

Woosh.
or hell I might break out the .270 or a .30-30

Woosh, Woosh. That's all your gun talk going over my head. Like a bullet.
Try plain old .22 LR.
Hell, I sort of want to see how well a Mac Pro case stands up to gunfire - the thing's pretty solid. I once checked various penetration tests, and concluded that it should stop up to 9mm Parabellum, maybe some of the lower-powered rifle cartridges, but there's no way I'm going to test it on mine.

Describes different types of ammo.

Hey, Mac Pro has the same case as the G5 (Well, another 5" bay, but shush). I'm sure you have access to guns. When you get a working laptop, I dare you to try it.

No. Not gonna happen. I just *upgraded* this thing, for crying out loud.
Plus, only guns I have access to are a .22 Long Rifle, and maybe my coworkers' SKS and AK47. The former will probably just dent it a bit, the other two would DESTROY it.
I wish I had FPSRussia's budget for acquiring firearms and shit to shoot at. His job must be so fun (aside from having to fake a russian accent all the fucking time)

I'll give you $100.
Youtube, you have failed me. I refuse to believe that there are no videos yet of people shooting expensive Macs.

Now try giving me enough money to actually replace it.
Pro-tip: You'll need at least another zero.

I'm only saying gut it and shoot the case, not the guts of the thing.

.22 short is a small round and one of the weakest commercially available rounds, not any good for anything but plinking and maybe squirrel hunting. Not particularly effective at any range, but it'll kill a squirrel up to about 30 yards.
.17HM2 is a modified version of .22LR that moves much faster and hits much harder. Effective range of about 200 yards. Very effective and low recoil, but too new for wide adoption. I'd wager that this could be the next big thing for small game hunting.
.270 Winchester is a wildcat cartridge, .30-06 (like used in the M1 Garand) necked down to accept a 6.8mm bullet. Very high powered cartridge, effective range of about a mile and hits hard enough to kill an elk up to around 1200 yards.
.30-30 is essentially a shorter and weaker version of .30-06. Very good for hunting, but smaller amount of powder and heavier and less aerodynamic bullets limit the effective range to approximately 300 yards.
