.22 short is a small round and one of the weakest commercially available rounds, not any good for anything but plinking and maybe squirrel hunting. Not particularly effective at any range, but it'll kill a squirrel up to about 30 yards.
.17HM2 is a modified version of .22LR that moves much faster and hits much harder. Effective range of about 200 yards. Very effective and low recoil, but too new for wide adoption. I'd wager that this could be the next big thing for small game hunting.
.270 Winchester is a wildcat cartridge, .30-06 (like used in the M1 Garand) necked down to accept a 6.8mm bullet. Very high powered cartridge, effective range of about a mile and hits hard enough to kill an elk up to around 1200 yards.
.30-30 is essentially a shorter and weaker version of .30-06. Very good for hunting, but smaller amount of powder and heavier and less aerodynamic bullets limit the effective range to approximately 300 yards.
You are credit to team.
If you're going to shoot it, please just give me in instead...
Yeah, still going to be more than $100. The going rate on eBay seems to be $350. And at that point, why not just buy the new case, and just shoot that?
I wish I had FPSRussia's budget for acquiring firearms and shit to shoot at. His job must be so fun (aside from having to fake a russian accent all the fucking time)
he doesn't buy any of them, they're all borrowed. Look at guys like Iraqveteran8888, cokeman2423, and hickok45 for guys who use their own guns.
FPSRussia is an absolutely terrible channel and 90% of the things he says about different guns are wrong. The other 3 guys I named are much better.

The hard drive I'll be shooting is dead, but you can have it once it's got a few holes in it.

IF it has holes.
I'd imagine if you shoot the top cover it would go straight through to the platter(s), and crumple when it hits the bottom. If you shoot the bottom it might go through and hit the first platter (if there's multiple)
We done discussing $1 mousepads?

Or hell, just watch the History Channel. They literally have multiple shows dedicated to "R. Lee Ermey shoots guns while yelling about guns".
Oh MS Word, so oddly stupid at times.
I forgot the password for a document that I write protected that I needed to edit for class (I don't even remember setting a password, but anyway) So I remembered that docx files are just a zip files with some XML files inside, so I extracted it with 7zip and scrummaged through the folders. In settings.xml I found this
<w:documentProtection w:edit="forms" w:enforcement="1" w:cryptProviderType="rsaFull" w:cryptAlgorithmClass="hash" w:cryptAlgorithmType="typeAny" w:cryptAlgorithmSid="4" w:cryptSpinCount="100000" w:hash="UkyF2Knoyouarenotgettingthis" w:salt="Pc6Onoyouarenotgettingthis"/>
At first I thought I could just fuck around and crack the encryption.
Then I realized, that's the only thing that does document protection. So I deleted the line, put everything back in a new zip, changed extension to .docx and it worked.
Great "Protection" Microsoft.

I wonder how well deeps could stop a bullet.
also RE: Mousepads
I used to have this cheapass mousepad that had an old Irish blessing on it. that mousepad disappeared recently though so now I just use my mouse straight on the desk.

Rude, but it's asked every single time guns come up.
"I think I'm gonna buy a Remington 870, lefty guys."
"How well could you stop a round from it since you'll own it?"

Just a bit better than what we're getting.
3 MB/s down and 1.5 MB/s up.
Doesn't seem like a very good deal to me, the maximum that you can get here is 120mbps down/10 mbps up for like €50, which is about $60
There's a 30mbps service here but I'm not sure if it's fiber optic or not and it's like $75/mo so I'll just keep my 3mbps :v
This is my mousepad, it was from that one site that offered a custom mousepad for $1. As you can see, it's pretty rough now.

What is this $1 mousepad you guys are speaking of?

Eastlink (Our current cable provider) has 20/1 uncapped internet for $63 and for $94/month you're "upgraded" to 40/2 speeds with a 250 GB cap.
The fibre isn't cheap, though it's better than the competition. Eastlink must be worried, since over the past few months they've heavily ramped up their advertising. I didn't know Vianet even offered fibre until I came across someone mentioning it in my city's tiny subreddit.

A year or two ago, some company had a promotion going on where you could upload an image to their website, have it printed on a mousepad and mailed to you for $1.
I got an okami mousemat from them when they were doing it for free
it got stolen out of my laptop bag, but they left the laptop in the bag. I don't understand people.
So I clicked a link to FP from google and chrome auto downloaded "google_.zip"

mwab and mse don't detect anything, help
Testing a Debian distro for Pi that has hardware support for floating point stuff.
The performance difference is nonexistent, and the lack of packages is massive.
Guess I'll go back to the default Debian thing they have.

So my new computer is way fucking better than my laptop, I'm glad I'm not stuck on integrated anymore. Right now I'm maxing out Far Cry 2 with 4xAA (not difficult, especially at 1440x900, I know) and it feels so gooooood and looks so preeeeetty. Downloading D3 now!
