I regret not spending like $30 more on a z68 mobo, my MSi P67S-C43 is kinda wimpy, no USB 3 either
Hello ladies and gentlemen. What have I missed in the past week or so?
Hello ladies and gentlemen. What have I missed in the past week or so?
Drama mostly, if I recall correctly.
I can't stand anything above 1200 DPI and yet my mouse goes up to like 5000, if it was just as easy as "upping your sensitivity" then everyone would be doing it
Personally I'm sitting at 2000 and I find it too slow.
Hello ladies and gentlemen. What have I missed in the past week or so?
Literally nothing of interest.
Augh it's getting fairly annoying waiting for new generation laptops to come out. I've ended up convincing myself that an ultrabook is a better fit for how I'll end up using it, as well, which means I'm waiting until like July/August.
Anyone here have experience with Micro-ATX builds? I have a potential build I need someone to check.
Anyone here have experience with Micro-ATX builds? I have a potential build I need someone to check.
Similar principles except you need to check cooler and GPU size, basically.
Similar principles except you need to check cooler and GPU size, basically.
Oh right, cool. I just need to find the best possible CPU cooler then that'll fit.
Y'know what every good Industry program needs? Font Selection
Hello ladies and gentlemen. What have I missed in the past week or so?
My laptop finally arrived. It died an hour later.
And Jarrod happened, it was a trainwreck for a few pages. Also something about COBOL.
And Jarrod happened, it was a trainwreck for a few pages. Also something about COBOL.
Jarod is the highlight. That shit was funny. I'll never forget that. 2 32 bit CPU's can apparently be used as a 64 bit one. GENIUS.
Hello ladies and gentlemen. What have I missed in the past week or so?
everyone died again
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/FHIpR.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://i.imgur.com/sYYxc.jpg[/thumb] Apparently a CD drive can catch .22 short. learn something new every day the small dents are from a red ryder that didn't penetrate at all.
Aren't CD drives built with a reinforced aluminum case to stop CDs shooting out if something ever goes wrong?
I don't see why it would shoot out a disc unless the disc shattered.
Aren't CD drives built with a reinforced aluminum case to stop CDs shooting out if something ever goes wrong?
Probably, but the force of a cd is nowhere near a bullet
i would like to get a durable, affordable and comfortable mouse for about 50 USD. is that too much to ask for?
Probably, but the force of a cd is nowhere near a bullet
From the sounds that old 52x CD drives made, you'd certainly think so :v:
From the sounds that old 52x CD drives made, you'd certainly think so :v:
On the topic of scary sounds, sometimes when i shut my PC off, my old force feedback joystick would slam to the side and make a loud BWAM noise. Still scares the shit out of me now and then.
Probably, but the force of a cd is nowhere near a bullet
then you've never heard my cd/dvd drive boot up, it isn't mounted to the case properly because I lost the 5.25inch mounting things. I went to install Diablo 2 once and the vibrations made things fall off my desk
Probably, but the force of a cd is nowhere near a bullet
I've tried it. It's not a speeding bullet, but the case of the drive and the opposite wall took some shrapnel. Warcraft III disks don't fuck around.
On the topic of scary sounds, sometimes when i shut my PC off, my old force feedback joystick would slam to the side and make a loud BWAM noise. Worst is when my PC goes out of hibernation in the middle of the night and the wheel does that. not a good way to wake up
When my PC shuts off the sound card's bit of residual charge discharges, which makes a slight noise in the speakers. Unfortunately, mine amplify this so every time I shut it off with the speakers up BWEEEOOP!
Roll into work. About to submit last weeks timesheet because I'm a lazy sod. THEIR SERVERS GO DOWN RIGHT BEFORE I HIT SUBMIT. 100% uptime my ass.
I wonder how well hard drives stop bullets
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ZcvL8.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://i.imgur.com/UCX71.jpg[/thumb] pretty well! These are .17 HM2 but I loaded them pretty light, these were only moving at around 1100 ft/s with the amount of powder I put in them.
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ZcvL8.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://i.imgur.com/UCX71.jpg[/thumb] pretty well! These are .17 HM2 but I loaded them pretty light, these were only moving at around 1100 ft/s with the amount of powder I put in them.
Does the drive still function?
Does the drive still function?
it's been dead for a few years. I also hit the circuit board once, so even if it did work before it probably doesn't work anymore. [editline]4th June 2012[/editline] I loaded them light because I didn't want to go anywhere and I could get away with transsonic speeds in city limits without causing much ruckus.
Friend bought a 6750 ages ago. Didn't recieve it after 2 months, bought a 7750. It will arrive on Wednesday. Sweet. Also realized that the power consumption on the 7750 is INCREDIBLY low.
