I know it isn't necessarily "small", I just don't see it as large enough to justify $200 when even a single 7770 (granted I'm at 1440x900 right now) suits my needs just fine.
So far, I've tolerated Fox News. But... http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2012/05/30/powerful-flame-cyberweapon-tied-to-powerfully-angry-birds/ It's time to go fucking nuclear.
Dell, like HP is quite divided in their product lineup. Their consumer products are generally terrible, everyone knows the stereotype that HP laptops overheat which is mostly true and anyone who's opened a pentium 3-pentium 4 era dell probably still hates dell for their case design. Their enterprise products, however, are some of the best in the market. When it comes to companies HP and dell do not fuck about and a business oriented laptop will be leagues better than a consumer model in build quality.
Even though I agree. This Dell Studio I bought on sale 2 years ago (almost half price :v:, coupon codes plus Back-to-college sale thing they had on) has been the best laptop I've had in terms of build quality and cooling. My previous laptops were Asus, Acer, Packard Bell, Fujitsu, Advent and IBM of various models I can't be assed to look up. The thing I like about Dells is that because they are configurable when you purchase them the parts are, generally, interchangeable. For example I could go upgrade the screen to the 1080P option and add a backlit keyboard if I desired. So yeah, I will be going for a Dell again. But only if I can get a chunk of money knocked off like last time to bring it in line with competitors.
What's a good price to sell a Nvidia 9500GT 1GB at? CeX is offering £17 for it.
Just some virus that Fox is probably over exaggerating again
"BUT IT'S GOT 250,000 LINES OF CODE!!!1!" So did a random program I made in C++ that spammed a shit ton of numbers as fast as possible. I just copied and pasted the code over and over. Not that big of a deal.
Just some virus that Fox is probably over exaggerating again
It must be amazing, though. All it needs is my IP and it can record my non-existent webcam, apparently.

It comes up at least 15 times a day.
Just some virus that Fox is probably over exaggerating again
It seems pretty cool, plus Microsoft accidentally some certificates so important parts of it look like they've been signed by Microsoft. And that allowed the authors to set up a nice system to deliver updates to their stuff by hijacking the client-side Windows Update software. Of course, Microsoft released patches that invalidate those certificates already. Via Windows Update. Derp.
Flame malware is pretty sophisticated, actually, from what I've read. Considering I could make a basic keylogger + uploader that autostarts in under 100 lines, 250k seems a lot.
Anyhow based on what experts (Iunno who they are) are saying it's used to gather information like blueprints and plans and shit. [editline]7th June 2012[/editline] What I keep on wondering about is if the high-level logic is Lua, can't you just remove the Lua files and break the whole thing?

Considering I could make a basic keylogger + uploader that autostarts in under 100 lines, 250k seems a lot.
Well... It scans files for "important" lines, then uploads only those to a command/control server to decide whether to download the entire thing. It does this even for things like AutoCAD drawings. It has a huge amount of code dedicated to making sure it only runs on targeted computers - it's estimated that only 400 or so PCs are fully infected. Globally. It also has some logic dedicated to self-destructing under examination. And then, of course, there's the infection. It does some NetBIOS spoofing to make other computers on the LAN think it's a Windows Update server, thus getting requests for updates. So yeah. 250KSLOC seems small for a keylogger. But for a keylogger that can parse AutoCAD files, run a Windows Update service, and detect precisely which computer it's running on? Yeah, 250KSLOC sounds about right.

maybe you're just garbage [editline]6th June 2012[/editline] (or just really really really picky)
chrome is objectively bad and anyone who says otherwise is too blinded by fanboyism to be a valid source on anything
you talking about fanboyism that's funny
"chrome is bad and I use firefox nightlies because it's so much better however only fanboys use chrome and I am not a fanboy I swear"
God damn does leaving my computer on have a huge effect on my room's temperature, its like 90 in my room right now. I need to get one of those industrial fans or something.
GUISE, SAFARI IS CLEARLY THE BEST~ How's that for being a fanboy?
Should I stop using the biography of Steve Jobs to say blessing at dinner too?
You should burn it or at least the terrifying cover
I use firefox nightly because it has a smaller footprint than opera, is more secure than internet explorer, doesn't have the same issues with rendering large images that chrome does. Chrome users are either slaves to trends or fanboys, there legitimately is no exception to that rule. If you can think of one way that Chrome is better than firefox nightly, you win.
