Parents are gone for the weekend, so what do I do? Throw a party, get drunk, set stuff on fire? Nope, play Diablo. I'm a boring individual.
Install gentoo.
But.. why
But.. why
You dare question an order to reinstall gentoo?
I got my replacement display cable today and got my old netbook mostly working again: Since I cheaped out on the replacement power brick (Gave the original to a friend), it got pretty warm after a while... So I had to improvise. Since the left trackpad button doesn't work, I'm going to take it apart again. Hopefully it's fixable.
Ah... Acer, that explains its condition.

I've always been a fan of wall spells like QRQRESA and EDFFF. [editline]9th June 2012[/editline] It just occurred to me how silly this conversation is to someone who hasn't played Magicka.
what are good processors for ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5S800-VM
what are good processors for ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5S800-VM
[del]Due to the fact the FSB only goes up to 800, best you could do is the Core2 Duo E4700.[/del] Nevermind, forgot to consider PCG.
do you know any mobos under 100$ that supports it?
Assuming the flag under your name is right. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130555 This one DOES support Core 2 Duo's and Core 2 Quads.
WTF. Had problems with router today and suddenly I had WPA2 protection enabled on WiFi. Awesome.
I have just figured out what the ultimate challenge would be for a sysadmin: Get a fresh install of W7 on a box, install SCP, SSH, FTP services on it, make WoL work, put it behind a router, make all these features work both externally and internally, and then download a Google project (such as Chromium) on it using SSH and compile it. Also, you cannot touch or interact directly with the box after installing the services, you must use SSH / Telnet.

Anyone here familiar with XBMC have any idea how to make an ordinary gamepad (Logitech F310) work for controlling the interface on the Windows version?
Use something between it, like xpadder (Older versions are free)
Anyone here familiar with XBMC have any idea how to make an ordinary gamepad (Logitech F310) work for controlling the interface on the Windows version?
There's software that let's you bind buttons to keys and joystick movements to mouse movements of any direct input controller, unfortunately I can't name any off the top of my head. [editline]9th June 2012[/editline]
Use something between it, like xpadder (Older versions are free)
Yes, xpadder is what I meant
I wouldn't really call that ultimate.
Compile Chromium, I double-dare you.
Compile Chromium, I double-dare you.
I've done it before, I know what trouble it is. Still not ultimate.
I've done it before, I know what trouble it is. Still not ultimate.
On Windows, via SSH?
Windows is really lacking when it comes to hosting and remote control.
Use something between it, like xpadder (Older versions are free)
JoyToKey is another free xpadder like alternative I used it with my ps3 controller and it seems pretty good, once you've got everything configured
On Windows, via SSH?
I'd compile the Linux version with cygwin, gcc requires no GUI. At least, I'm pretty sure you can do that.
Windows is really lacking when it comes to hosting and remote control.
How about we change it up then. Change Windows for SCO UnixWare. Good luck.
