Why the fuck does my DSL cable like to mess with me? why?
Only a slightly bad connection with it and I have had problems with it the whole day. Great!
JoyToKey is another free xpadder like alternative
I used it with my ps3 controller and it seems pretty good, once you've got everything configured
Doesn't MotioninJoy have key mapping capabilities built in?
How about we change it up then.
Change Windows for SCO UnixWare.
Good luck.
replace the keyboard with a morse code thingy
Or a kinect

Kinect where you tap morse code by jumps
Normal jump = short
jump + backflip = long

So my computer started acting weird lately, mainly cutting off the video signal to the display and whatnot. I decided to check out what's going on. Some time ago I also heard really loud noises in my room and I mean REALLY loud. Not a gun being shot, but very close. I knew it was something serious but couldn't pinpoint the source of it. The thing is, my GPU usually hangs upside down because somebody thought it's a really good idea to make it that way. Today I discovered this:

Luckily, I had some spare gpu lying around and my dad said he has the same capacitors (i'm not sure if they are, so I just made an assumption) so he can p. much fix it.

you lucked out, man
you lucked out, man
The spare one is a GT220. Not much, but I'll take anything I can at least hook up a monitor to.
I was being facetious
My Quadro FX just started to die :C
Time to dig out the 8400 GS *shudder*
Is it bad that I want an old IBM typewriter just because I find the mechanism cool as hell to watch?
...And also because they make cool sounds.

You need 1000uF 16V ones, though voltage above 16V also does the job.
[editline]9th June 2012[/editline]
Also, CHECK THE POLARITY BEFORE YOU SOLDER IT, if you mess it up, you can potentially kill the whole card.

Dad's been working with electronics professionally for the last ~20-25 years, i'm sure he'll have no trouble. But thanks, nonetheless.

My 8800 video card is better
Hey, don't look at me, I didn't buy it. We just have stuff like that lying around sometimes.
Psh, my radeon 9200 is better

I gave my 9200 to my neighbour. She's the only person I know who still has a computer with an AGP slot.

Also the GT220 is a okay card.... sure it's not Crysis material but hey it does a fairly good job at source and M.C and Dirt 1/2.
OH, IT'S ON
radeon 9550 mofo
I love my HD dock, but I wish it was faster. it has Esata, but I hate Esata. It's unreliable, the cables suck. Unless I'm doing something wrong. My external Esata ports are on the Marvel. For hotswap HD's should it be on AHCI?
USB works fine but even on my relatively speedy 640GB WD Blues I get 28MB/s write. I was just backing up some projects onto my spare drives to be safe. Moving like 400GB or so will take 4 hours apparently.
I used a 6600GT for about a month when my GPU broke in January (When in turned out to be the goddamn HDMI cable)
I moved my games from my 7200 RPM 400GB "Games" Drive (Samsung HD403LJ) to one of my 2TB 5400RPM "Storage" drives (HD204UI). I was expecting a hit in loading times and such.
Honestly. I can't tell the difference. If anything, It's faster.
This is backed up by some benchmarks I have been digging up and my own benchmarks. My new 5400RPM "Eco" drives are FASTER than my old 7200RPM drives.
Double cache helping it possibly? I Don't know, I don't really care :v:
The 400GB drives are getting on a bit like, 3 years since I bought them I think.
The 2TB probably has much more dense platters = Higher sequential read speeds. Also probably has a bigger cache.

Maybe it was the files being way fragmented in the Games drive.

what.
Doesn't MotioninJoy have key mapping capabilities built in?
I think so. I just had JoyToKey installed anyway and set up with some crappy joypad I had ages ago and the keys were conveniently the same.

Huh, just noticed that custom profile part.
Pretty damn useful actually
Thanks!

Yeah i know, but i have no clue why it blocked that.

"adsense" perhaps?
Yeah i know, but i have no clue why it blocked that.
It is picky at times
Probably saw "AdSense" as an actual advert
edit: ninja'd
Or maybe part of the blocking is to stop you from putting adverts on your stuff in the first place :v:

I just fucking cracked my monitor.
Is there any way to fix this?
